auth default : passwd-file Can't open file: Permission denied
Hello, I'm attempting to migrate from an existing dovecot .99 install to dovecot 1.0.rc15 on a fresh up to date CentOs 5.1. Dovecot, postifx, virtual domains and deliver, what about luser_relay/fallback_relay?
I've read documentation (obviously not the right parts) and googled, but I can't seem how to solve this simple problem: I have a machine running postfix/dovecot and using virtual domains, delivery happens with dovecot's LDA. I also have an Exchange machine that I have to house some of the users of a given domain. How can I tell either postifx in general or dovecot's LDA that

Hello, I tried to compile dovecot rc15 from the sources with the quota-rewrite patch (http://dovecot.org/patches/1.0/quota-rewrite.diff) on FreeBSD 6.1, but the compilation stop with the following errors. LMTP & home, chroot, mail userdb fields.
Hello, Dovecot. I'm using postfix + dovecot with pure virtual users. postfix uses standard virtual transport, and dovecot fetches such fields from userdb: chroot: "/usr/home/hosted/v-mail/%d/%n" home: "/" mail: "maildir:." Everything works Ok -- dovecot founds users' mail. Now, after upgrade to dovecot2, I want to use it LMTP server as

Virtual Users and Local Users Authentication
I am using dovecot on a SLES 10 mail server using postfix as the MTA. The original setup used local users and a single domain. Intermittent "cannot update mailbox" problems w/ postfix & dovecot
I hate asking questions on mailing lists, but I've exhausted my googling and FAQ trawling skills. If I've missed the pertinent doc, please tell me where to RTFM. Environment: I'm running postfix 2.3.2 on a Solaris 10 server. Mail goes into standard mbox format in /var/mail. Users can access their mail via shell (pine, mutt), POP3 or IMAP, and the pop3/imap server is
