Compiling Dovecot with gssapi
Hi, all!
I'm new to Dovecot and I try to compile it to allow GSSAPI authentication.
Unfortunately, configure says me always:

I can't use sql auth
I need some help. I have compiled dovecot (1.0-rc15) with --with-mysql
option, when I execute the binary with --build-options I get this:
Build options: ioloop=poll notify=dnotify ipv6 openssl
SQL drivers:
Passdb: checkpassword passwd passwd-file shadow
Userdb: checkpassword passwd prefetch passwd-file static
In this case, when I execute dovecot I get this error:

After successful testing on our 32-bit machine using the rpm, I'm

I see this:

Please help, cant compile with mysql support
I've been going round and round with this, and its driving me nuts.
Previously, dovecot was erroring out during make due to some MySQL library
issues. I thought I had that fixed, but now the compiled version I'm getting
says it doesn't have MySQL support. I just started over, and noticed that
./configure is saying:

I recently know about dovecot and I try to use it on my server.
Previously I used qmail+vpopmail+courier and now I want to use

During configuration the script detects my vpopmail installation and
configuration and after I get this status:

--enable-debug in 1.0beta8
It looks like there is an error in calling check_nuls for DEBUG
In src/lib/ mempool-alloconly.c on line 85 you have
check_nuls(block->prev, 0), which I think it should be
check_nuls(block->prev);
Can some developer confirm that?
Thank you

recent dovecot: assertion failed.
Hi,
today I have built dovecot from cvs sources, and upgraded server from
beta-7 to this newer version.
Then i got problems with opening INBOX using thunderbird 1.5.0.2. The
client says "Opening folder...", then, after about half a minute,
blinking "connecting to the server" and returning to "Opening folder..."
/var/log/maillog gets the messages:

1.0.8 install trouble on Ubuntu dapper (PAM)
Hi,
I was running the Ubuntu dovecot package until now, and decided to
upgrade because of an issue with Thunderbird. I downloaded and
compiled 1.0.8, and it's not starting up. The error I'm getting is:

dovecot --build-options)

1.0rc10 proxy memory usage problem
Hi,
I have a rather large dovecot setup (4 proxy only servers and 21 IMAP/POP3
servers) in production for 3 days now.
The memory usage on my proxy servers only grows over time. It looks like a
memory leak somewhere in dovecot. I have a RRD graph available on demand.
Any advise on the configuration ?
Timo, I have strace a process before the manual restart. If it can help just ask for.

Thunderbird or Dovecot bug? (multiple keywords)
Here's a strange one. I have a user who's using Thunderbird 2.0.0 and
assigning multiple tags (keywords) to emails, which are getting "lost"
(I'll explain) when he leaves the folder and comes back. I can reproduce
this on *his* account myself, but cannot reproduce it on *my* account
(separate new TBird 2.0.0 profiles on Windows XP).
Use the two TBird default tags

Massive Dovecot auth errors too strange for me
Hello out there,
im running Dovecot on "ubuntu Dapper" serving pop3 only in maildir-style,
but the dove-auth-process refuses "answers" to the deliver or
login-process from time to time, (several times a day),
and I have no glue whats going on and why ...
Debbugging password-Auth surprised me, as the transmitted password
IS correct and allows an successfull authenification lots

Public kudos to Timo
I'm sitting here working away on various unrelated projects and watching
patch after patch after patch flow in from Timo to fix all sorts of
problems people are reporting. A coding madman on fire.
Thanks Timo, you rock. I appreciate the time you spend on this software,
I'm sure everyone else does as well. :)

4 Final, RC1 -> Final?
Build team -- what's our current outlook on the 4 Final release shaping
up to be (ie, this week, next week, a month..)? Should it be further
out, would it be relatively painless to 'upgrade' (so to speak) from the
current RC1 to Final when it rolls around?
thanks!
