Hi, I'm trying to convert users from a sendmail server to a postfix/dovecot server. All works fine but one of the last things is to rescue the messages in /var/mail/<user> on the old server. This seems very straitforward using the convert plugin but with the settings from the wiki, nothing happens when the user logs in. Do I need a private namespace for this as suggested elsewhere

Hello all, I updated my mandrake 8.2 samba from version 2.2.3a to 2.2.4, using mandrake cooker package, but after the update my win98 clients can not logon on the server any more, the clients can't even find the pdc, because i get a big time from the time that the user type his username and pass, and the logon error message. All, My dovecot install works great except for one error I keep seeing this in my logs. The folder has 7138 messages in it. I am informed the user they needed to reduce the number of messages in the folder and believe this will fix the problem. My question is about where the problem lies. Is the problem related to an internal limit with Dovecot v2.0.15 or with my Debian (3.1.0-1-amd64)?

When I try to move messages between folders I get 'Quota exceeded' messages. I installed dovecot without any major configuration and accounts are created with PostfixAdmin. Is there some common setting that I must be missing? Version in use is 1.0 rc26 - Frank

Dovecot version 1.0.rc26. Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower available for email. Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config) or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by Dovecot? Hi, I have mailsystem with virtual users only (/home/vmail/domain/user). I need to integrate RT3.x (a ticketing system). I have installed the client but I need to send mail to a pipe. Rt wants me to insert: |/usr/bin/rt-mailgate --queue bla --action bla --url http://bla.bal/ In /etc/postfix/aliases. That does not work for me.
