Wiki documentation
I spent most of today adding new content to the Wiki and cleaning up the
existing content. The front page is now also reorganized, but there are
several links in it to pages which are still missing. Please write
them. :)

xen will only load images built for xen v3.0
Hi,
I am attempting to get Xen working on my Mandriva Linux and I can only get as
far as the initial loading screen which happens to be failing with:
"xen will only load images built for xen v3.0"
I am following the instructions outlined at
http://qa.mandriva.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/HowToXen
Any hints on where I should start debugging this problem?
cheers,
Jeffery

How to give system and virtual users their own mail_location?
Hi all.
Now hopefully as a new thread because I still have this question. Apologies
to Geert and Timo for my misbehaviour...(repling to the list and changing
the subject).
I hace Dovecot rc12 working on Mandriva 2007.0 now for system accounts and
virtual accounts both imap and imaps can be used. Th problem now is that I
cannot use both types of user at the same time. The 'mail_location =

1.0.rc12 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.rc12.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.rc12.tar.gz.sig
Since rc11 has problems compiling with BSDs, here's a new release. Just
two changes:
- rc11 didn't compile with some compilers
- default_mail_env fallbacking was broken with --exec-mail
Here's also again the rc11 changes:
* Renamed default_mail_env to mail_location.

rsync 3.0.0 pre5 + hard link preversation trigger assert
I've setup rsync 3.0.0 pre5 on distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr (rsync server)
and upload the same into mandriva cooker (development distribution).
Someone reported this failure:
rsync -auvPH --delete
--exclude-from="/home/rfox/exclude.txt"
distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr::mandrivalinux/devel/cooker/i586/ .

upsd flapping in the breeze
Hi,
I have had a long standing problem with NUT talking to 110V MGE UPSs on
FreeBSD, I was recently investigating again and noticed that upsd seems
overly noisy, eg..

May 5 03:50:36 egbert upsd[96662]: Data for UPS [ups1] is stale - check driver

Convert plugin
Hi,
I'm trying to convert users from a sendmail server to a postfix/dovecot
server. All works fine but one of the last things is to rescue the
messages in /var/mail/<user> on the old server. This seems very
straitforward using the convert plugin but with the settings from the
wiki, nothing happens when the user logs in. Do I need a private
namespace for this as suggested elsewhere

Problem with samba 2.2.4 and Mandrake 8.2
Hello all,
I updated my mandrake 8.2 samba from version 2.2.3a to 2.2.4, using mandrake cooker package, but after the update my
win98 clients can not logon on the server any more, the clients can't even find the pdc, because i get a big time from
the time that the user type his username and pass, and the logon error message. So is this a problem with mandrake's
package or the logon

failed: Too many levels of symbolic links
All,
My dovecot install works great except for one error I keep seeing this
in my logs. The folder has 7138 messages in it. I am informed the user
they needed to reduce the number of messages in the folder and believe
this will fix the problem. My question is about where the problem
lies. Is the problem related to an internal limit with Dovecot v2.0.15
or with my Debian (3.1.0-1-amd64)?

Quota exceeded messages
When I try to move messages between folders I get 'Quota exceeded' messages.
I installed dovecot without any major configuration and accounts are
created with PostfixAdmin.
Is there some common setting that I must be missing?
Version in use is 1.0 rc26

merging Maildir from old machine to new machine
Dovecot version 1.0.rc26.
Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower
available for email.
Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it
possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config)
or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by
Dovecot?
Kind regards and thanks/ldv

Pure virtual user and RT3.x
Hi,
I have mailsystem with virtual users only (/home/vmail/domain/user). I
need to integrate RT3.x (a ticketing system). I have installed the
client but I need to send mail to a pipe. Rt wants me to insert:
|/usr/bin/rt-mailgate --queue bla --action bla --url http://bla.bal/
In /etc/postfix/aliases. That does not work for me.
What is the right way to achieve that mail to rt at mydomain is
