Problem installing Topix
Guten Tag,
I need to install a software called Topix (www.topix.de) wih wine.
It is our main order management software with enterprise recource planing, accounting, stock keeping and customer relation management.
I use Kubuntu newest version and Wine 1,10.
Here you can see the message list from wine:

Do you have any idea to avoid the software crash?

[HTB] htb_dequeue_tree assertion (kernel 2.4.21-ac4)
Hello,
I think the BUG_TRAP() in the htb_dequeue_tree() is wrong. First it
checks if the class pointer "cl" is NULL, which is obviously right. But
I do not understand why we also check whenever the queue length of the
leaf queue is zero "cl->un.leaf.q->q.qlen". I would have put that in the
expression of the "if" statements that comes afterwards. A queue

fix variance parameter values for lmer estimation
Dear list-members,
a model is fit with lmer, but I want to force the variance parameter values
to be as defined by me
I thought, use 'start' to specify initial values and only allow for one
iteration ?
my question is how to do that ?
to specify the 2x2 matrix of variance parameter values:
start=list(groups=array(2,-0.5,1),dim=c(2,2))
now I need to make sure the mean structure is

OPUS at Texas Instruments C6418
Dear Opus family,
we have implemented the Opus codec at a Texas Instruments DSP C6418.
It is working fine!
Does anyone has experience with the configuration of the codec for a speed optimized implementation on that DSP?
At the moment, we use the following settings:
#define NONTHREADSAFE_PSEUDOSTACK 1
#define FIXED_POINT

Modeling presence only data in R
Dear All,
I have a set of environental maps and presence-only points for some species.
How can I generate distributions models on R using these presence-only data?
What packages and functions can I use to do so?
Kind regards,
Miltinho

OPUS at Texas Instruments C6418
Hi Jean-Marc,
thank you for that suggestion!
It seems that the file "fixed_c6x.h" is not part of the Opus sources, so the compiler cannot find it after enabling the TI_C6X_ASM config option.
Maybe it was only part of an early version of the Opus sources?
I looked for the file in versions V1.1, V1.1.1, V1.2alpha and V1.3 but did not found it.
Do you have an idea, where I can get the

combining matrices
Heja,
I hope someone is still there to help me:
How can I somehow merge/combine matrices to get such a result:
Matrix A
A B
x1 1 0
x2 1 1
Matrix B
C D
x3 1 0
x4 0 1
Resulting Matrix?
A B C D
x1 1 0 0 0
x2 1 1 0 0
x3 0 0 1 0
x4 0 0 0 1
Does anyone see this probably obvious solution with R how to do this?
Sorry if this question is silly...it's too hot here to think properly ;O)

buildpkg.sh scripts problem
Hello Ben Lindstrom,
I tried your package creation scripts for Solaris which are contributed with
the new OpenSSH Version 3.0.0p1.
Nice that you develop these scripts but I run into a major problem
installing the package which was created by the script.
On our Solaris hosts /usr/local is only a symbolic link to /opt/local. After
installing the OpenSSH package the symbolic link was removed and a

dll problem with C++ function
Dear fellow R-users,
I have the problem of being unable to repeatedly use a C++-function
within R unless by dyn.unloading/dyn.loading it after each .C call.
The C++-code (too large to attach) compiles without problem using R CMD
SHLIB. It loads (using dyn.load("myfun.so")) and executes (via .C(myfun,
...) ) properly. The function returns no object, only reads files from
disk,

Hallo Vitamin,
yes you are right, I didn't install riched20 right, but know I have done it.
The fonts at the login mask appears and we can successful login. But if we open a list page (company's list, invoice's list), Topix still breaks down.
Here's the terminal's journal...
If you could have a look at it, can you

The aggregate function for some reason will now work for me.

Shares are comming and going
Hia,
I have a problem using the %G parameter.
At the end if my smb.conf file I have something like:
include = \etc\smb.conf.%G
At this way I hoped that according the the group, I can
load a configuration file accoring the the users group.
Instead that a 'smb.conf.it' group is loaded, a
samba tries to load 'smb.conf.nogroup'
(guest account is uid=nobody gid=nogroup)

Partial correlation test
Dear all,
I'm writing my manuscript to publish after analysis my final data with
ANOVA, ANCOVA, MANCOVA. In a section of my result, I did correlation of my
data (2 categirical factors with 2 levels: Quantity & Quality; 2 dependent
var: Irid.area & Casa.PC1, and 1 co-var: SL). But as some traits (here
Irid.area) are significantly influenced by the covariate (standard length,
SL), I

Listing expunged messages
Hello,
Following on my last question about broken mdboxes, removing
dovecot.map.log and force-resync does work. My last problem now however
is that after doing this, messages which were 'deleted' previously, come
back in the inbox as new messages.
I have the original mailboxes and can subscribe to the expunged folders
and everything in EXPUNGED/INBOX on the original, is appearing in

[PATCH] [resend] net: get rid of SET_ETHTOOL_OPS
net: get rid of SET_ETHTOOL_OPS
Dave Miller mentioned he'd like to see SET_ETHTOOL_OPS gone.
This does that.
Mostly done via coccinelle script:

struct ethtool_ops *ops;
struct net_device *dev;
@@
- SET_ETHTOOL_OPS(dev, ops);
+ dev->ethtool_ops = ops;
Compile tested only, but I'd seriously wonder if this broke anything.
