[PATCH] Take shift in crtc positions for ZaphodHeads configs into account.
I don't understand this patch (what are all these masks? how are they
used?), and don't want to invest the time required to do so.
However Mario is probably the sole serious user of ZaphodHeads, and if
it fixes issues for him, probably fixes issues for others who try and
give up with ZaphodHeads. Any objections if I just push this out?

Sipura SPA2000 & Asterisk & latest firmware (1.0.18)
All,
If you currently own a Sipura SPA2000, avoid going to the sipura website
and upgrading the firmware. I upgraded my SPA2k a couple of days ago from
1.0.9 (what it came with) to 1.0.18 off the site, and I am having issues
with my SPA rebooting itself every 3-10 minutes for no apparent reason. I
have been in touch with the *excellent* sipura support folks, and they are
working with me to

[PATCH] Take shift in crtc positions for ZaphodHeads configs into account.
In multi-x-screen ZaphodHeads configurations, there isn't a
one-to-one mapping of kernel provided drmmode crtc index
to the index of the corresponding xf86Crtc inside the
xf86CrtcConfig crtc array anymore, ie. for kernel provided
drmmode->mode_res->crtcs[i], the i'th crtc won't correspond
to the xf86Crtc in the i'th slot of the x-screens xf86CrtcConfig
anymore, once

[PATCH] drmmode: update logic for dynamic connectors, paths, and tiles
This largely copies the code from modesetting with minor adjustments.
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>
---
I've tried privately to get people to test this out, but to no avail.
I don't have the hardware to verify this one way or the other. Ideally
with this patch you should be (a) able to use a tiled monitor at 60hz
with DP-MST and (b) be able to see connectors

I've tested this back and forth with a GTX 960 + 2x U2415 monitors,
chained to each other. I turned them on/off. I messed with their DP
1.1/1.2 settings. I pulled plugs a few times.
This seems to pass the test. No crashes, the connectors seem to come

Two Separate Issues: rails generate
Hi folks.
I am just starting rails and have two current issues. I have installed everything, I think, and (first) I''m having permissions feedback upon rails generate:

problem profiling rspec boot time with ruby-prof
We recently upgraded to rspec2 / rails 3 and our specs are taking a
very long time to run. It takes nearly 12 minutes before the first
dot comes out. Before the upgrade, our entire suite of 6000+ specs
would run in about 6 minutes.
The majority of the delay seems to be during the loading of the spec
files. Adding instrumentation to the rspec-core lib/rspec/core/
command_line.rb, you can see

(In)(x)sane privilege/access issue
I just picked up a new HP OfficeJet J3680 all-in-one (because, as
previously posted, my 4315 broke), and I was able to install the

Noob Rails patcher - problems running the sqlite3 tests...
Hi,
I am following the guide here:
http://guides.rubyonrails.org/contributing_to_ruby_on_rails.html
I have an ubuntu 11.04 VM setup, installed rvm, and ruby (ruby 1.8.7
(2011-06-30 patchlevel 352) [x86_64-linux]).
Pulled down the rails from github and created a 3.0 branch:
$ git branch --track 3-0-stable origin/3-0-stable
$ git checkout 3-0-stable
I can run the non-db tests ok, all pass

The dreaded Tripp Lite SMART500RT1U and NUT
Hello Charles,
Thank you for all of your help this far. I have made some great
progress. I was hung up with all sorts of USB problems which we can
chalk up to a "blonde moment" for me (or more accurately, a *bald*
moment). In all my starting over and screwing around, I had forgotten
to reinstall libusb-compat. Duh! I am now to a point that I think we
can dig a little deeper.
