sporadic slow/non response, problems copying to sent folder
After experiencing these symptoms through many of the release
candidates, we've been at v1.0.0 now for a few weeks, and they're still
there. Perhaps a config issue with my setup (mbox locks?). It's really
too disrupting to continue using this way. I've included symptoms,
client info, mta info, log entries and config file. What other
information can I provide? Please

Minor patches for builds against ancient platforms
I was recently asked to upgrade some neolithic aged software (UW-IMAP,
sendmail 8.12.x, apache 1.3, amongst other horrors).
The box is physically remote, so an aggressive "new flush" wasn't an option.
I've been able to upgrade the compiler to gcc-3.4, openssl to 1.0.2k, glibc,
php to something in the 5.4-branch, etc.
I have CLucene working, even.
I know should take a shotgun

can not get t'bird to create folder
dovecot-2.0.16 on Fedora 15.
thunderbird-8.0
I can access dovecot from thunderbird, imap maildir. But when I try to
create a new folder, nothing happens.
I'm not using LAYOUT=fs, so I have added, tb-extra-mailbox-sep, which
didn't seem relevant anyhow.
Any help appreciated.

Clients show .subscriptions folder
Since upgrading from dovecot-2.1.rc1 to dovecot-2.1.rc3, some clients
are showing a .subscriptions file in the user's mbox path as a folder.
Some clients such as T'bird on Mac OS X create this file listing
subscribed mbox files. Other clients such as T'bird on Windows XP show
this file as a folder in the folder list even though it cannot be
accessed as a folder (dovecot returns CANNOT

Timestamp on voice mail messages is based on wrong timezone
running asterisk 1.4.13...
I've noticed with SOME email clients that the timestamp reported from
voicemail is 5 hours off (difference of EST vs UTC). That is, a voicemail
received at 15:17:59 EST is sent via email with a Date: header of "10:17:59
- 0500". An email sent through normal means (mail client) from the asterisk
server reports the correct time, so it's definitely

Sporadic one way audio problem
Hi all again,
I've got a problem with sporadic one way audio calls, which means
sometimes I can't hear the calling party (call is established, but audio
is missing). Today I received ~90 calls, one of them got this problem.
I've got two networks involved, without NAT:
- 192.168.1.X, in there one nic of my server and all the phones
- a private net to my provider, in there a nic of my

lighttpd - sporadic mysql errors
I''m getting a strange error in the production.log (I''m on a TxD shared
server). The first entry is a successful request from right after
restarting lighttpd and killing all the procs, the second is the error
after accessing the site half an hour later without having changed
anything. Restarting lighttpd resolves the issue. What might be going
on?

Sporadic network issues
I'm seeing this problem with both the virtio and e1000 driver with both
linux and windows guests. About 5 - 10% of the VMs I launch have network
problems. They seem to always get an IP from the DHCP server (dnsmasq), but
afterwards either they can not make an outside network connection or they
lose connectivity at a later time. Sometimes the connectivity comes back,
sometimes it doesn't.

TCP reset (RST) networking issue (maybe was 'Sporadic network issues")
Hi,
I'm seeing a very similar problem to the thread "Sporadic networking
issues" [1]. In our setup, some TCP operations receive unexpected RST
packets when executed on the guest. I can see these RST packets via
wireshark but can't explain their source.
We originally uncovered this when some 'git clone' operations failed
with "Broken Pipe" in the guests.

[LLVMdev] Sporadic build failure doing 'make -j' from CMake-generated Unix Makefiles in AArch64 backend
Hi everyone. I'm seeing a sporadic failure in building the AArch64 backend
when doing a parallel make from CMake-generated Unix makefiles:

cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" \
-DCMAKE_C_COMPILER="$TOOLCHAIN/usr/bin/clang" \

Patch to avoid sporadic hangup during normal conversation
Hi, Mark.
I'm posting a little patch that permits to set the busycount value in dsp (via chan_zap), for systems that have "busydetect=yes" in zapata.conf and have noticed sporadic hangup, caused by incorrect cadence detection during normal conversation.
With this patch, it's possible to increase the busycount from 3 (default) to 5 (max, because DSP_HISTORY=5), simply adding a

Asterisk SIP to MAX TNT Gateway, Sporadic Echo
Hi All,
I'm trying to track down an intermittent echo issue. My setup is
<phone>sip<asterisk>sip<tnt>pri to carrier
less than 10ms latency on the network, 100% SIP, ULAW
I have several different phones; cisco, linksys, polycom, snom. It's
difficult for me to reproduce the problem regularly so I'm really
having trouble isolating anything. I'm wondering if this

strange sporadic sssd problem on centos
>From time to time on centos 6 sssd I got login problems like 'connection closed by *.*.*.*.', after a while then I login in again and the problem already disappeared.?
For the ssh login problem, I can see the following entries in /var/log/secure. 'Failed public key for ....' ?is the entry for the login problem. Any one has some ideas why this happens?

Sporadic Copying XP/2000
Hello,
I've setup a basic Linux Workgroup via SAMBA. Everything is working
fine except for the following:
I just replaced a Windows 2003 Storage Server with CentOS 5.1. When my
users start copying TIF images from the now CentOS 5.1 server, XP copies
the images sporadically. For example: folder1, folder2, folder3,
folder4; each folder has 5 sub-folders in it numbered sequentially

Sporadic Logon Issues from Windows 2003
I have a Samba server (3.0.37) acting as a domain controller for several
computers running Linux, Windows XP, Windows 7, and just recently a Windows
2003 server that replaced a Windows NT server.
A couple times a day, the Windows 2003 server generates an error like the
one below for everyone that attempts to connect to it. Throughout the rest
of the day, there is no issue at all, but several

Sporadic problem
I have an annoying sporadic problem and would appreciate your advice.
Every 30 minutes I run the script that boils to following code:
while read d
do
rsync --password-file=$p -rRlxupogtSq --delete $u@$1::$2/$d $4
> /dev/null 2>&1 &
print "`date +'%T'` sync $2/$d $4" >>$log
done < $KEEPERS
Here $KEEPERS is generated ahead of time once a
