Group mapping only working for initial group?
Hello, on my Samba 3.0.14a PDC (Debian Woody) I created a local unix group named "gpusers". Then I mapped it to a new NT domain group named "GPPower": # net groupmap add rid=1005 ntgroup="GPPower" unixgroup=gpusers Then added a user "mdv", who already had its own initial group "mdv", to the new gpusers group: # usermod -g mdv -G gpusers mdv

Our Samba file server has a share with an visual basic application, there are 8 XP clients working with this share. Puppet 3.0.1: time spent fot "File" resource increased
After updating master from 2.7.12 to 3.0.1 I noticed, that agents began spending more time on "File" resources, which I can see from --summarize output: about 40-45 seconds now, and about 25-30 before update. What could cause this problem? I also noticed, that "preferred_serialization_format = b64_zlib_yaml" doesn''t work anymore and "pson" is used by

Missing [homes]
Hi, I configured Samba as fileserver+PDC for a network populated by Win2000 clients, starting from a smb.conf I found in a guide and editing it to suit my needs. For example, I removed the [homes] section, because I don't need users to be able to access their Linux home directories, and having that section active caused the home shares to appear in the network neighbourhood tree. oplock problem on NTUSER.DAT
Hi, I'm on a network with a Samba 2.2.8a fileserver + PDC (Mandrake Linux 9.0) and various Win2000 Pro clients. Very often, when I log off from one client and log on a different one soon after, I get an error message telling me that the remote profile cannot be loaded, and the local one will be used, as if the profile was still locked by the previous session. One peculiar thing to notice is

R version requires Bioconductor 2.3 version
Dear support, I am new to R. I installed R 2.8.1 under Windows, and upon starting it I get the message that it requires Bioconductor version 2.3. I thought this was kind of installed in parallel or so. Where can I upgrade it ? Request for Assistance in R with NonMem
Hi I am having some problems running a covariate analysis with my colleage using R with the NonMem program we are using for a graduate school project. R and NonMem run fine without adding in the covariates, but the program is giving us a problem when the covariate analysis is added. We think the problem is with the R code to run the covariate data analysis. We have the control stream, R code

wine 1.0 and ie 5.5
ok, i'm NO expert but I can learn a LOT of things. I have used wine very sparingly in the past, enough to know that IE, outlook and a few other "Win Only" apps will run. So when wine 1.9 was released i figure i HAD to have it. but BOY its a lot different. Installation was smooth, MDV rpms work as expected, but thats where it ends. I use the same IE5.5 install source I have used

New problem, new thread (I think)
Greets all; I was just booted to mdv-2010-x64 where I found my lack of sound problems. Whoopy ding... But when I rebooted to fedora, now the driver cannot disconnect and gain access to the ups. I installed the 52-nut udev file in /etc/udev.d, and it reads that it should setup /dev/hiddev0 like this and with 0664 perms when it finds that ups: crw-rw-r-- 1 root nut 180, 0 2010-01-03 20:51
