[OT] How to prepend copyright notices to each source file
Sorry for the off-topic post, but I guess someone else may hit the same
issue....
Having developed a rails application, I now need to put GPL text and a
copyright notice at the start of each source file. For the .rb files, this
will look like:
# Copyright 2006 Robert Jones...........
and for the .rhtml files it will look like:
<!-- Copyright 2006 Robert Jones.........

Digium Cards in Boxes without Power Connectors
I noticed on the wiki that some of the production hardware (compaq)
doesnt have a power connector to my knowledge.
I have a compaq c6400 that I would like to use for Asterisk. However
all the drives are hot swap and the dual redundant power supply bay
are not something i really feel like soldering wiring to.
How are people getting around this?
Is there a magic 'fan card' that has a

[LLVMdev] Compile Linux Kernel with LLVM gcc frontend
I can say that it does not for me,running x86_64, I have been generating errors for submission by testing on a number of gnu utilities starting with binutils.

Rpm builders: Dovecot spec file
Maybe best asked to Axel...
I'm re-building my server from scratch (the old one was MDK 10.1 -> Mandriva
2006.0 with Postfix/Courier) and I want to install the latest versions
postfix/mysql/postfixadmin/dovecot/squirrelmail.
I've been building Dovecot (and postfix) from tarballs/srpm in the past so I
know more or less how it all fits together. But I wonder if 'old' patches

Dovecot and duplicates
Hi
I'm having a problem setting up duplicate filtering on my mail server.
I've set up the mail server with Postfix and Dovecot with virtual LDAP
users, ClamAV virus scanning. The problem is that some of the virtual
users use multiple e-mail addresses and postfix delivers emails sent to
a user as many times as the user has email address entries in LDAP. I
was wondering what would be

beta5 builds under RHEL
Hi,
beta4 built under RHEL4, RHEL5 and RHEL6 (the latter being the public
beta). beta5 now builds only for RHEL5, the other two fail with:
strnum.c: In function `str_to_llong':
strnum.c:139: error: `LLONG_MIN' undeclared (first use in this function)
strnum.c:139: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
strnum.c:139: error: for each function it appears in.)
Thanks!

dovecot lda & sieve: resubmit folder for resieving
Hi,
I'm currently restructuring my mail archives and migrated from a decade
and a half old procmail supported solution to sieve.
While doing so I often found that I'd like to filter a bunch of messages
(with "bunch" in the area of 1-10K) with my shiny new sieve script. I
found in the wiki a way to do that:
http://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/RefilterMail
And it works well, it picks

pigeonhole: naming and versioning
Hi Stephan,
many thanks for all the work you do on the new sieve parts to dovecot.
As a (downstream) packager I have some questions:
a) pigeonhole is called a working title - will the final release
be called something else like dovecot-sieve again?
b) The versioning seems to go from 0.1.15 to 0.1.13. From a packager's
POV it would be better to allow a natural version upgrade
path.

Real FFT
The book "Numerical Recipes in Fortran77" by Press, Teukolsky, Vetterling and Flannery describes a way to "pack" the even and odd coordinates of a real vector "R" into a complex vector "C" of half the length. Then using various FFT symmetries, they extract the FFT of "R" from the FFT of "C" which is half the length of "R",

User mapping via pam
Hi,
I'm trying to change the PAM_USER within a pam module, and observed that
dovecot 0.99 does not support this. I then looked at 1.x and found:
src/auth/passdb-pam.c:232:
/* FIXME: this doesn't actually work since we're in the child
process.. */
status = pam_get_item(pamh, PAM_USER, (linux_const void
**)&item);

Is there a "connect acl" ?
Hi,
I have been reading the acl documentation and it seems that a "connect acl"
is not available.
I need to limit the users that can login in an IP number, is that
posible with
dovecot 1.0? (i.e. only these users can login from the Internet)
Or a new plugin should be written? It is complicated to do that?
Thanks

[Bridge] Bridging over a bonded interface?
Hi,
This may sound crazy but I will go ahead anyway. Here's my scenario:
ifconfig bond0 10.10.10.1 netmask 255.0.0.0
ifenslave bond0 eth0
ifenslave bond0 eth1
brctl addbr stp0
brctl addif stp0 bond0
brctl stp stp0 on
Is this a valid scenario? I am trying to bond two interfaces and run STP
over the bonded interface..The problem I am trying to solve is to run STP
over aggregated links
