http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.1.tar.gz.sig
Lots of small fixes.

* deliver: %variables in mail setting coming from userdb aren't
expanded anymore (again how it should have worked).

1.0.1 release candidate 3
http://dovecot.org/tmp/dovecot-1.0.1rc3.tar.gz
Looks like I managed to do a lot of changes today. So I'll wait a few
more days before v1.0.1 release. The important changes since rc2:
+ deliver: Added -e parameter to write rejection error to stderr and
exit with EX_NOPERM instead of sending the rejection by executing
sendmail.
+ dovecot --log-error logs now a warning, an error and a

V1.0.1 - Segmentation fault in res_crypto.so ?
Hi All
I just upgraded to v1.0.1 so that I could try out the new SMS feature.
When I did this, I noticed that my outbound SIP call to Broadvoice was
very choppy, so I hung up. The system would not release the call, so I
restarted the server.
When it came up, it started loading * then said threw up a segmentation
fault in res_crypto.so. It kept respawning until it ran out of RAM. I

v1.0.0 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.0.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.0.tar.gz.sig
It took almost 5 years, but it's finally ready. I'm not expecting to
release v1.0.1 anytime soon, unless someone's been sitting on a major
bug just waiting for v1.0 to be released. :)
People wanting new features should start testing the upcoming v1.1.

Can''t get fcgi working with Apache2 on Mac OS X
I have an application that works fine in development mode under plain
old CGI and I''m trying to get it running under FCGI with multiple hours
of frustration. Lately, I am running dispatch.fcgi standalone from the
command line. It gives me a not very helpful one line error message;
Status: 500 Internal Server Error
The log file produces a not very helpful 2 line message;

v1.0.2 release candidate
http://dovecot.org/tmp/dovecot-1.0.2-rc.tar.gz
Unless someone finds something broken, I'll release v1.0.2 in a few
days. The most important changes since v1.0.1:
* dbox isn't built anymore by default. It will be redesigned so it
shouldn't be used.
+ Maildir: Support reading dovecot-uidlist (v3) files created by
Dovecot v1.1.
- Maildir: "UIDVALIDITY changed" errors

read permission on rotated logs
When logs (e.g. /var/log/maillog) are rotated (e.g. to
/var/log/maillog-YYYYMDD) is there a way via systemd or whatever to
assign read permission to a specific group?
Right now, for example -
ls -l maillog*
-rw------- 1 root root 3105240 Mar 13 22:04 maillog
-rw------- 1 root root 1079031 Feb 24 04:39 maillog-20190224
-rw------- 1 root root 7237640 Mar 1 12:59 maillog-20190228

Vorbis 1.0.1 release compile errors (libvorbis, vorbistools)
Well, I grabbed the tarballs this morning and found that of the three
new releases, only libogg1.1 would compile without and issue. I had to
recompile my flac1.1.0 for ogg support, and it gave me a new error (or
I wasnt paying attention, anyway...) it will finish compiling and
install, but I only ran make check on the original compile, not the new
one with OggFLAC attached and stuff...

LDAP - valid users = @group
Hello,
I have a strange problem with Samba and LDAP backend with the statement
valid users = @group.
The valid users = @username works great, but the @group oder +group
statement does not work. But the users in the @group does never get
access to the shares!
I'm using Samba 3.2.5-4 on Debian Lenny the LDAP server is located at
an Debian Etch system. But this ldap server works quite good.

Valid users question
Hi,
I've a question about the syntax of the valid users option. Any help is
greatly appreciated!
Here is the Background:
samba 3.0.4
Linux as Domain Member
Active Directory, not in Native Mode
Compiler opions: --with-winbind --with-pam --with-smbmount
The goal is to authenticate via the Windows Domain and allow access via
Windows groups.
The syntax in my smb.conf looks like this:

Dovecot not handling r/o mailboxes completely, and problem with ACL as a workaround
First of all, I think dovecot is really fantastic and I have thanks for all
the hard work. I think it will be the best fit for my ~5000 users when I
have it setup completely. We normally have approx 500 concurrent IMAP
connections during the day.
I am trying to convert from courier-imap to dovecot, but I have an issue with
public namespace folders that are not writable by certain users.

Force destination files to specific owner/group
Folks--
I'm working with an old system I set up to copy files from one local
directory to another. I was using rdist for this, but I would prefer
to shift it over to rsync.
The one thing I'm missing is the trivial ability to force the group
owernship of the destination files to a specific group. A read through
the manpage and various searches on the web do not turn up any helpful
hints

SEGV with Dovecot v1.0.0 Deliver and cmusieve v1.0.1 and vacation
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hello,
I have a small Sieve script that tries to use vacation that segfaults.
The script is the one from http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve.
When I change the email address (I changed the local part into "skai"),
hence, vacation is skipped, the mail is delivered without any problem.

vfs_ChDir fails, even though the share is read-write for that user
Hi,
I'm running Samba Version 3.0.25c on Solaris 10 8/07 on X86 hardware.
It's successfully joined to AD.
But, and there always is a but, if :
* A user is a member of SomeGroup
* and the share alllows SomeGroup to access it
* and SomeGroup is NOT what the user has set as their Primary Group in
Active Directory
then
* Samba will recognize that the user can access the share
* but,
