Here's the Flac.xcodeproj, compressed with 7-zip as it's just a folder and
can't be transmitted without being compressed, check to see if it works on
your computers, and hopefully everything works.

I'm sorry if this isn't the place to ask this question, but I was unable to
find any other form of contact on the FLAC website. I'm trying to rip two
CDs to FLAC, and want to use EAC, but the link to download the official FLAC
tools is dead. Therefore, I'm unsure of what to download. Any help, please?

Ooops, I accidently replied privately, sorry for that. Here's to the

I've got the Xcode project done, I'm having trouble finding the proper
format for the header search path, and do I need to include the tests in
the xcodeproj?

Also, shouldn't the changelog feature the 4GB windows fix? I remember
reading about that bug fix at the start of 1.3.0, and I for one was
incredibly excited about it.
if nobody remembers it I can try to hunt down that patch on the mail list.

Hi guys. I downloaded the xiph-qt-win32-0.1.5.zip file from your website. I unzipped and placed the .qtx file in C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QTCompenents. It doesn't install anything. There's no .exe file for it, and even if there shouldn't be, iTunes won't play .FLAC files or even .ogg files. Am I missing something here? I can't see an installation process. Is it possible to

FLAC 1.3.0 released
There are several links to Windows compiles in the Hydrogenaudio thread
for FLAC 1.3.0 at
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=101082 .
On Unices or Linuxes building from git should be straightforward enough,
or you wait until the distributions/package maintainers catch up.
Also, congratulations to the whole development team for reinvigorating FLAC!

Fix cuesheet.c to allow metaflac_test.sh to run to completion
Ah, I don't remember but it might have been a negative test that was supposed to give an error when used with the wrong sample rate.
Anyway, could you do another patch that updates to general MM:SS handling?

Are we gonna get a new beta, or will it just be 1.3 release, also how long
until the update?

I have an Intel Mac and I'd be glad to test it for you, but I'm not sure
how to use the makefile.lite build system? do I just replace the normal one
with this one? I tried ./makefile.lite but nothing happened.

I posted Mac binaries a few weeks ago but nobody did anything with them, or
even acknowledged them.
Here is a DMG with a .pkg installer for Flac 1.3.0

FLAC example compilation
You can just take a look at the FLAC download page:
http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
There are links saying "FLAC full source code and Nightly CVS tarball".

New release
There have been some offers to help building for various platforms: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/flac-dev/2013-July/004271.html and there was discussion last year to create official ?blessed builds?, compiled by Xiph for security reasons. http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/flac-dev/2013-July/004274.html
However, this sounds like something that can be sorted out after the release of the source

Moving them will break links, and they should be kept for future
reference. The installer works properly on Windows XP and
earlier, it was broken because of the UAC introduced in Vista.

error in files after removing padding
Once more hi,
I've tried to reproduce this issue, but I am unable to do so.
Could you try to re-encode the file with FLAC (to make sure it
is not an issue with Taglib) and try to strip with metaflac
again? This can be done as follows
flac input.flac -o output.flac
metaflac --dont-use-padding --remove --block-type=PADDING
output.flac
If this turns out to be fine it probably solves your

Flac-dev Digest, Vol 70, Issue 5
Hi,
Well - having in mind this is "flac-dev", I thought you are a developer and
writing an application for that purpose is quite trivial.
Anyway, CUE sheets are so simple, they can even be written by hand - the
minimal CUE sheet is very simple.
About the actual embedding - I haven't worked with metaflac or editing
applications so I can't give you any specific advice for that.
