Problem setting up dovecot on Debian: "telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused"
I would like to get dovecot running on my laptop so I can transfer a lot of old Email from Thunderbird mailbox files to a hosted zimbra service. However I'm falling at the first hurdle. I'm running Debian squeeze i386 (kernel 2.6.32-5-686) and have installed dovecot-imapd and dovecot-common with synaptic and edited /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf to make sure it has the right protocols

spamassassin with postfix/dovecot
I'm trying to install spamassassin on a postfix/dovecot server, running CentOS-6.4, following the instructions at <http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Amavisd>. I think I have taken all the steps indicated, and the configuration seems to pass the tests suggested, although the response is much more sparse than that described: ------------------------ [tim at alfred ~]$ telnet localhost 10024

elasticsearch connection refused
Hallo, is anyone here using elasticsearch on centos? I tried several configs to configure external access but nothing is working. My tests: telnet localhost or 127.0.0.1 9200 works local on the machine telnet 192.168.242.4 9200 connection refused local on the machine. So it is clear that access from other systems can not work. Is there perhaps something special to consider when using centos 7?

port running but connection refused
Hi All, I have a process running on port 5070... I'm using CentOS 7. iptables is running firewalld should be stopped and disabled. When I telnet localhost 5070 I get connection refused. When I stop iptables I still get connection refused. netstat -tnlv | grep 5070 tcp 0 0 192.168.1.8:5070 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN so the process is running and listening. ps ax |

elasticsearch connection refused
Hi Ralf, You should check you firewall configuration ... most probably you need to allow port 9200. Also check if elasticsearch service is listening on all interfaces or just localhost (127.0.0.1). -I. Yep, you (probably) need to configure openSMTPD to listen on 587 (I run exim, so I can't help with that). -- Larry Rosenman http://www.lerctr.org/~ler Phone: +1 214-642-9640 E-Mail: larryrtx at gmail.com US Mail: 5708 Sabbia Drive, Round Rock, TX 78665-2106 ?On 7/11/18, 4:50 PM, "Teno Deuter" <gvgter at googlemail.com> wrote: I am using

I Have Multiple Ips But Can Only Telnet to One Interface. Not the subinterface. How to Fix?
Hi guys, I have multiple IPs bound to my Centos 6.6 box but I can only telnet to one IP. Any ideas on what to do? I've searched the internet so far with every keyword I can think of to no avail. I can see that postfix is only listening on the first IP and to localhost. The IP I cannot smtp to is on ETH0:1. I can access it via port 80 (web traffic) but the connection is refused if i try to

There is a concept in IMAP of mailbox subscription. This is the default list of mailboxes to be shown. doveadm mailbox list -s (full command syntax on the doveadm-mailbox manpage) That will list the subscribed mailboxes for the logged in user. There are command-line switches for which user to list, etc. -- Larry Rosenman http://www.lerctr.org/~ler Phone: +1
