LDA bouncing mails after upgrade
Hello, on my system, I have a copy of /usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver located in /usr/libexec/dovecot/postfix-deliver/deliver (only accessible to postfix and with SUID root permissions). If I happen to forget to update this copy after an upgrade of dovecot, the deliver LDA bounces mails: | Mar 22 20:29:20 host.example.org deliver(user at example.org): Module is for different version 1.0.rc27:

Xend crashes repeatedly starting DomU - please help...
Hi, this is a repost of a previous question - since then I have tried rebuilding my Xen0 kernel numerous times and trying different configurations, but I haven''t yet ever got a single DomU to boot so I really don''t even know what is supposed to happen, let alone how to start debugging it... Can someone please speculate on how to debug this further? It''s a gentoo

Update on Xen on my hardware with nForce SATA
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I complained some time ago that a the dom0-kernel (2.6.9-based) inside Xen would wait forever when trying to detect the hard disks connected via the S-ATA controller, which is provided by the nForce 250Gb chipset. The problem guessed by Keir (IIRC) was that the interrupt routing didn''t work because Xen didn''t use ACPI to do

Lockup at boot with nFroce SATA
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, Is the sata_nv (based on SCSI) driver supposed to work with Xen? When I tried to boot my dom0 kernel recompiled with the sata_nv drivers enabled my kernel locks up, I guess when probing the first drive connected via S-ATA. I've a dual core system (see /proc/cpuinfo at the end) running CentOS 4.4 (fully up-to-date) and I'm running a PHP script that's parsing files and dumping the results into a database. Viruses bouncing around on this list
I''m sure many are aware of this already but I thought I would insinuate myself for a moment here. Our mail servers have blocked two posts to this list today, due to them containing inappropriate file attachments - one with an .SCR file, and one with a .PIF file. Yeah, my servers blocked them, no harm done. But I doubt everyone subscribing to this list is running a setup that blocks

tdbbackup with bouncing/shutting down samba possible?
Hi, We are a small company, which has just started using samba. Recently we have faced a few issues regarding the TDBs getting corrupted. I have read that the only way of getting around this issue, is to regularly take tdbbackups. But, this process needs a downtime of my samba server, which we would not want. Instead, is there a way where I can take the tdbbackup with out shutting down samba

Telstra/Sangoma bouncing E1 D Channel
We just installed a box into a Melbourne site with a Sangoma A101U, it is running the latest Wanpipe drivers and has Asterisk on it that someone had compiled manually from source. This initially worked fine but for the sake of consitancy we removed the existing asterisk and used emerge to install it. During this time the box was off of the e1 for about 8 hours and when it was brought back

Bouncing Mail???
Ever since last night all mail from the samba list has been bouncing. I'm out of ideas...does anyone have a suggestion on what to fix. I've attached the mail notification. It seems like sendmail does think that lists.samba.org exists but I can do a successful lookup? dovecot lda bouncing postfix aliases
Hi, Typically, postfix should resolve the aliases into user accounts that dovecot knows before you even start delivering to dovecot. You probably messed something up in the postfix config that disables alias expansion before dovecot delivery is attempted. Can you show us your postfix config? Kind regards, Tom On 01-03-17 15:36, Ian Evans wrote: > Recently configured postfix to use the

OT: Explain where mailing list bouncing comes from ?
Hello, I'm a faithful reader of this mailing list, for several years now. Lately, I'm receiving emails asking me to re-enable my list subscription due to "excessive bouncing". What does this exactly mean and why am I receiving this ? Beside re-enabling my subscription, what can I do to improve things ? Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

'Account disabled due to email bouncing' madness
We have a mail filter ( CanIt, by Roaring Penguin, see http://www.roaringpenguin.com ) that is doing a very good job indeed of blocking spam and viruses. And I certainly get a lot from this list ... so much that without the use of CanIt, I would have already had to retire my email address, and possibly even our entire domain, to avoid the constant march of crap. But ... the list server keeps

LDA-based vacation responses bouncing
I've got dovecot vacataion auto-responses working via sieve, but when the responses are sent, they are sent as if they are to be locally delivered, which causes them to bounce for domains that I am not local for. How can I get dovecot's sieve vacation response to check the domain is local or not? Here is an example of what happens: The LDA notices it needs to send a vacation response:
