dovecot-sieve vacation changes
I'd like to put forward the following patch for dovecot-sieve. Essentially this just merges in some changes made in CMU sieve 2.3.8 and as such brings the behaviour more in line with RFC 3834 "Recommendations for Automatic Responses to Electronic Mail": - fixes erroneous sender "-request" substring match - checks for existence of a selection of list-* headers -

How to see if sieve is active ?
Hi, I think I activated sieve, but it's doing nothing. I know manage-sieve works so I made some rules. But they do nothing. I ran sieve-test, which seems to work, but does not move the mail I test. Is this how it works ? I thought the -e parameter just "tested" the rules and did nothing and my command was supposed to do the "real thing". I read there should be a log. I

dovecot, sieve and vacation
Hi there ! Have a small problem with sieve and vacation: it seems to descard the vacation filter I created instead of sending back an email: Mar 20 11:56:28 hostname dovecot: deliver(virtual_user): sieve: msgid=unspecified: discarding vacation response for message implicitly delivered to <virtual_user at hostname> after searching a bit on the net, I stumbled on another (old) thread:

Case sensitivity in :addresses in sieve vacation scripts
Hi, I have recently updated from Dovecot 2.2 to 2.3. Since I have noticed that vacation responses from sieve are not working the same anymore. For example, my sieve script looks like this: vacation :days 1 :addresses ["Kippels at hhu.de","julian.kippels at hhu.de"] it used to be that I got a vacation response if I sent a mail to kippels at hhu.de and Kippels at hhu.de. Now

sieve vacation to an alias group
Because its not actually a vacation, we are using it as an auto response feature. Its a support group that should auto respond to the customer automatically for the first time. If there is another method to achieve this, then we are more than happy to change our setup. Sieve, vacation, company (domain-wide) message possible?
Hello, I've been using vacation.pl from postfixadmin for many years, and since the most recent modification that allows me to specify my own strings to test for for when NOT to send a message, I'm extremely happy with it (no more auto-responses to linked-in/facebook crap, etc)... But, there is one thing I'd like to be able to do that it can't do, and there hasn't been any

"From" address in vacation response on hosted domains with dovecot/postfix/sieve
Hi, I have a working dovecot/postfix/sieve configuration: Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Dovecot 1.2.6 Sieve 0.1.12 Postfix 2.5.1 The server is configured to host multiple domains. All mail delivery, logins and aliases work absolutely perfectly. There's only one weirdness: the 'From' address in vacation responses. If a message is sent to user at hosteddomain.com the response comes from

Sieve: Vacation, handle and variable
Hi *, I am adding a generic way for vacation-replies in my sieve setup. There I set the handle and the reason using variables (see end of mail). My simple question now is: Though variable expansion is not done for subject and reason, is it done for the handle? Because else there seems no way in configuring the vacation action via variables. I tried to read the code for this extension, but ...

sieve & vacation - ignores "days" parameter
Hi, I am going further with dovecot configuration. Finally managed to configure roundcube 0.3 with managesieve plugin. And it works, although... not perfectly :( For some issues probably roundcube-managesieve is guilty, but simply the sieve plugins seems to work wrong. Here is my sieve file: require ["vacation","fileinto"]; # rule:[wakacje] if anyof (true) {

sieve-test ignores precedence and other for vacation
Hello, I'm using pigeonhole-0.2.3, it works fine. I tried to verify some build in checks of vacation concerning precedence or auto-submitted header lines. It looks like sieve-test ignores header lines like Auto-Submitted: auto-submitted Precedence: bulk Return-Path: MAILER-DAEMON at ... if I have a vacation script like require ["vacation", "regex",

sieve vacation response
Hello, we're implementing a dovecot 1.2.1 with sieve 0.1.7 and managesieve 0.11.7. We're having problems with creating sieve scripts so that vacation works. LDA-based vacation responses bouncing
I've got dovecot vacataion auto-responses working via sieve, but when the responses are sent, they are sent as if they are to be locally delivered, which causes them to bounce for domains that I am not local for. How can I get dovecot's sieve vacation response to check the domain is local or not? Here is an example of what happens: The LDA notices it needs to send a vacation response:

sieve vacation to an alias group
Hi, We have an alias group named xyz at example.com, this alias group has 3 actual users a at example.com, b at example.com and c at example.com We set vacation rule on the generic sieve rule, the problem is that 3 responses are sent to the original sender. (obviously because the rule is being executed with each user in the alias group) Is it possible to set auto response only once, we tried
