Running 2.2.15 on FreeBSD 10.0.
Forcing replication with: doveadm replicator replicate -f user at host.com
on one user that I've seen some syslogs show up to see what's going on.
Other users are fine.
When I run the above command on the one user it produces a core dump. See

1.1.7: quota problem, unable to delete mails when quota exceeded
Hi,
When user exceeds it's quota then dovecot can't create it's files and it's
showing zero mails :( This also means that user is unable to delete it's own
mails. Sounds like kind-of bug, right?

How to change dovecot's bounce message
Hi,
I am using the quota plugin of dovecot. Dovecot is running as LDA for postfix.
When the system is running into the quota limit, the bounce message reads as
follows:
> Your message was automatically rejected by Dovecot Mail Delivery Agent.
> The following reason was given:
> Quota exceeded
Can I somehow change this message, to make it more userfriendly? Postfix has a

Custom 'quota exceeded' message + Sieve script from database
Hi!
I'm quite new to Dovecot. helping my friend to migrate from Courier-IMAP
to something more efficient, we are evaluating Dovecot at the moment.
I had to prepare 2 small patches for Dovecot to suit our needs, and I've
decided to post it here. I'm not fully familiar with Dovecot
architecture yet, I'd appreciate if someone could look if these changes
make sense (i.e.

LMTP Proxy
Trying to figure out Proxying with LMTP to a few back end storage servers
for quota checking before accepting email delivery on the front end nodes.
If I connect to the back end server directly via telnet, everything works
great.
If I use a front-end server to proxy to the back end server, I don't get
the same result.
Running 2.2.4 on both front and back end servers.
Any help would be

Out of the blue my proxy installations started showing this:
dovecot: login: tried to change state 2 -> 2 (if you can't login at all, see

Nobody can login.
Running 1.0.0 on the proxy and 1.0.2 on my storage boxes. Anybody have any
insights?

Multiple Folders Continually Auto-Created
I've had reports of a number of clients running Outlook 2011 on Mac where
they have quite a few folders with the same name appended by multiple
"1"s. So far I've only narrowed it down to Outlook 2011 on Mac. We've
been in the process of migrating to sdbox on a new server from maildir
using dsync backup.
Example folder structure:

dsync-server throwing Resource temporarily available
Running 2.2.15 on FreeBSD 10.0 with two back end storage boxes using TCP to
sync.
Seeing a couple of users that always seem to be throwing these kind of
errors in the logs:
dovecot: dsync-server(user at host.com): Error:
write(/var/run/dovecot/replicator-doveadm) failed: Resource temporarily
unavailable
Just wondering what's the proper course of action to fix it?
Thanks.

namespace prefix issue with avelsieve
Hi!
I am currently testing a setup with dovecot's lda, the cmusieve plugin,
pysieved and the avelsieve plugin for squirrelmail.
The issue I am stumbling upon is that avelsieve is generating folder
names including the namespace prefix when creating "fileinto" rules.
E.g.:
A rule:
If the header "Precedence" contains "bulk", then file it into
the folder

[LLVMdev] Cleaning out the Release Notes
Hi all, the release notes (docs/ReleaseNotes.rst) seem like it is
mostly a holdover from 3.2, (the removal of CellSPU is in there
though).
Would anybody be opposed to me cleaning this out so that the actual
changes from 3.3 are the only ones there?

newbie question on installation over existing Linux

that 'capability' was a holdover of the 1980s when disks were measured
in megabytes, and memory in kilobytes, so large file systems were
impractical.

IMAP copy fails because the mailbox size of user1 is exceeding the quota limit of user2??
Hi all,
I do have a mailbox-quota problem in dovecot 2.0.19 that is beond my understanding.
Could someone pls. give me a hint.
- user1 max. mailbox quota is set to 1GB, the current mailbox size of user1 is 15MB
- user2 max. mailbox quota is set to 10MB, the current mailbox size of user1 is 10kB
- user1 shares the folder 'shared_folder' to user2 with all rights (read, write ...)

RFE: please include quota waning patch
hi,
it'd be very useful to include the quota warning patch in official
release. without it the quota support is not really useful since mail
simple dropped when quota is over. and most enduser never know what
happend, they just recognize mails are not coming:-(
thanks.

Puppet Node Create?
Was...
Bash$ puppet node create
This "create" action no longer exists. Has it been depreciated?
Is the only way to create a node through puppetmaser now?
Thanks, D

scan(...comment.char="#") breaks my code
I've just discovered the recent addition of the comment.char arg to scan, a
useful feature no doubt but the default value of # rather than "" breaks my
code which looks for # as a delimeter in a file and provides a messy
incompatability with earlier versions of R and with Splus.
Is there any chance that this default could be changed to ""?

IBM UniVerse database adapter for ActiveRecord?
I''m facing a situation where I am going to have to integrate with a
legacy database , specifically the IBM UniVerse database, which is not
*quite* relational. It feels like a holdover from the dark ages of
computing.
Before I attempt writing an ActiveRecord adapter, I''d like to know if
anyone else uses this database and if I''m the only person that needs
this thing. I

Apple cannot connect to RHLinux Samba
Hi All
I have a working samba server on RH Linux 7.3 (samba v2.2.4). My shares and

problems there.
However, my Apple (Powerbook G4 running OSX 10.1.4) cannot connect using the
