stat() failed with mbox /var/mail/%u
Hello, Over the last 12 hours or so, I've been wrestling with a mysterious dovecot issue. After upgrading a mail server I'm helping my friend with maintaining from Fedora Core1 to Fedora Core4, I realized that I couldn't use UW-IMAP4 anymore (well, I can compile it myself, but it turned out that UW-IMAP was the main cause of the server's having load average as high as 30 from

possible bug in 1.0-test62
When connecting with mutt via IMAPS, I get "connection to server closed" and this appears in logs: dovecot: Feb 04 12:48:30 Error: IMAP(rathann): file mail-index-sync-ext.c: line 118: assertion failed: (size <= synch_size) The problem goes away after deleting the index from ~/Mail/.imap/INBOX. beta8: cores on corrupted index file
Timo, I saw a couple of these cores over the weekend. The syslog says: May 21 19:04:48 emerald dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.error] IMAP(user): Corrupted index cache file /home/students/s/user/.imap/sent-mail-apr-2004/dovecot.index.cache: indexid changed With a resulting core file from imap at this time. I also discovered a remaining lock file on the person's imap file: -rw------- 1 user

All index file bugs fixed(?)
I fixed the nightly snapshot building. Now it's again being built every night (if there have been any changes). Please test it before I'll make rc18 release. http://dovecot.org/nightly/dovecot-latest.tar.gz I've also been stress testing a lot with http://dovecot.org/tools/imaptest.c. Last night I ran it for 9 hours with mmap_disable=yes and it picked up only one race condition, which

Assertion Failure in Current CVS Version
Just installed the latest (Dec. 12) CVS version and one user keeps getting this assertion failure. Dovecot 1.1.7 is running so smoothly that I gave up checking its log files daily. :) I've just had a look, and among the usual "IMAP(username): FETCH for mailbox Sent UID xx got too little data: xx vs xx" messages (that means that unfortunately sometimes some messages are still written truncated) I saw this assertion failure: file mbox-sync.c: line 1305

Desynchronize clock
I don''t want my dom0 to update the clock in my HVM domU. I''ve already disabled network-based time synchronization inside the HVM. I''ve tried setting /proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock=1 and then restarting xend, but the guest still gets the correct time. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Asking again... locking files.
I am really having a problem with my netlogon script. It is locking almost on a daily basis. This did not happen before moving to 2.2.0. Anyone have any ideas to help me. 2.2.15 Panic in mbox_sync_read_next_mail()
It might not be a fault in dovecot, as the user is accessing the folder locally with alpine while also running imap-sessions. However it would have been nice with a more graceful action than panic? The panic is preceeded by Error: Next message unexpectedly corrupted in mbox file PATH Panic: file mbox-sync.c: line 152 (mbox_sync_read_next_mail): assertion failed:

How to merge and cut theora videos, and how to synchronize sound?
Hello. Excuse me in advance for these dumb questions. I used ffmpeg2theora to convert much videos. Now I would cut and/or merge them. How can I do it? Furthermore, in many cases the sound was desynchronized - I converted TS mpegs. I tried to add the sync flag with bad effects. How can I manually delay / anticipate sound track?

REFER to trunk
I have a private trunk with a peer. A call comes in from the trunk, and Asterisk calls a peer agent. If the agent transfers the call (this is a blind transfer using REFER), I want Asterisk to send a REFER back to the trunk, and essentially stay out of the loop. As set up, Asterisk initiates a new call using INVITE to the trunk and then bridges the original incoming and the new outgoing calls.
