Thunderbird subscription bug ?
Hello Timo,
I'm having a hard time trying to understand why Thunderbird 3.0.3 doesn't allow
me to subscribe to a shared mailbox which I can subscribe to via Kmail for
instance.
I'm running dovecot-1.2.11/Maildir. The user 'doveimap' shares his mailbox
folder/subfolder to the 'dovepop' user which should see it in the '#shared'
shared namespace at the following

Imap Ghost folder
Hi list,
i have a strange "ghost" folder in my subscription list and just can't
find out how to get rid of it.
It seems to be someones Inbox, but it doesn't tell me whose.
Here's a screenshot of Open-Xchanges Web-GUI:

As you can see there is an unamed folder just under Freigaben (Shares).

Windows XP Machines (well mostly the XP ones) hanging
Hello Folks,
I will personally send $50(AU) of Pizza to anyone that solves this one :)
We have a network comprising approx 30 Windows workstations all logging in
to a samba machine running as a PDC. The main exported file system is an NFS
mounted file system, but this was happening back when this was an xfs file
system as well. ACL's are enabled. We are running Samba Version 2.2.8a. The

LSUB matches prefix bug?
I think I've found a minor bug in the LSUB command:
. LSUB "" "*"
gives
...
* LIST (\Noselect) "/" "#maildir"
^^^^
* LSUB () "/" "#maildir/test4"
where I have a namespace with prefix "#maildir/".
Here's a patch to make it not list the namespace prefix in an LSUB
command (or should it list it as 'LSUB

LSUB and subscribed folders
I have a strange behavior on a customer's server and I don't understand
that:
User "bar" has some folders and one shared folder from "foo" if I use the
"LIST"-command, which should list AFAIK *all* folders:
# telnet localhost 143
a login bar xxxx
a OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE IDLE
SORT SORT=DISPLAY THREAD=REFERENCES

LSUB "" "" vs LIST "" "" (hacked Apple Mail problem)
The LSUB command does not act like LIST when provided with an empty
mask argument. LIST responds with the hierarchy delimiter:
* LIST (\Noselect) "." ""
OK List completed.
whereas LSUB doesn't return anything useful:
OK Lsub completed.
RFC 3501 doesn't specify what LSUB should do in this case, but
Courier IMAP has LSUB act like LIST. The attached patch

A previously unreported lsub/list discrepancy in 1.1rc5 and earlier
Not sure about 1.0, I don't run it anymore :) But a few users discovered
for a small issue that only affects a very small portion of my userbase
where instructional correction will suffice. I guess I am reporting it
in the interest of getting it out there, and I can live with it if not
fixed but it might be an issue for some people. I'm running through my
list of issues. Basically,

Problem listing SPECIAL-USE flags
Timo,
we want to implement SPECIAL-USE in Thunderbird (TB), but we've run into
problems. I believe you could help change that.
Here's the problem:
By default TB only lists subscribed (LSUB) folders when it accesses an IMAP
server. However when I do a LSUB on recent Dovecot 2.1 code from mercurial I
don't get to see the SPECIAL-USE flags. Therefore TB fails to identify which
folders

Segfault when opening a public folder, dovecot 1.1 beta4
I was trying to debug this with gdb, but I'm not sure how to make
env MAIL=maildir:~/Maildir MAIL_PLUGINS=acl ACL=vfile gdb /tmp/imap
understand the #shared/decs namespace from below so I can SELECT it.
I have a number of maildirs under #ahared/decs, I tried opening at least
2 of them but dovecot gives sig 11 without a direct error about the problem.
I don't think this was exactly the

Subscription not immediately reflected
Hello,
?
I noticed that somewhere between 2.2.22 and 2.2.25 the workings of subscriptions seem to have changed.
In version 2.2.25, when a client subscribes to a folder, and then does an LSUB command, it will not see that subscribed folder.
If you retry the LSUB command, the change is there.
Same with unsubscribes.
In version 2.2.22 I did not see this weird behavior.

Setting Windows drivers gives access denied error
Good morning!
For some time I have been experiencing a problem with adding Windows
drivers for printers available and configured in CUPS already. Not being
utterly familiar with how the process works I first tried it as root
from different Windows machines, both W2K and XP Pro. I saw the driver
files being uploaded, but then got an error message 'Printer settings
could not be saved.

Client driver installation
I've an OpenSuSE based server installed at work that uses Samba to share out the
prrinters for our users on the AD that will be replacing our aging Windows 2000
print server. I'm in the process of getting the printer drivers installed for
Windows clients. At present, I'm installing the drivers for the RICOH Aficio we
have. When I run the following command:?

When I try to add a printer using APW, the printer gets added
successfully. However, when I try to add a printer using the MS_RPC

know if I am doing anything wrong.
Thanks,

Seeing other people subscribed non-shared mailboxes
Hello Timo,
With dovecot-2.0.8/Maildir, in a simple shared mailboxes setting I noticed the
following :
- user "doveimap" has 2 mailboxes : "Common" and "Private"
- he shares only the "Common" mailbox to user "dovepop" doing :
x setacl "Common" dovepop lrwstipekxacd
x OK Setacl complete.
- he subscribed to both

PrintMaster 7.0 *nearly*, *very* nearly printing properly
I have PrintMaster 7.0 Classic (I assume) and it will in fact print, which
is more than it will do on Win XP, but Wine printing is not able to handle
the coloured fonts correctly.
Is there a tweak that can be applied? By downloading a dll for instance?
The only Wine error related to printing was:
fixme:commdlg:PRINTDLG_WMCommandA No handling for print quality combo box
yet.

listescape + shared folders with fully qualified user names

the listescape plugin seems to take its job a little bit too serious.
