Proxy setup & upgrade from 1.0.3 to 1.1.7
Hi guys!
I hope somebody can help me with my problem:
We have a server running dovecot and proxying IMAPS connections to our
internal network. This worked so far very good until we upgraded the
server to a new SUSE Linux version and with it dovecot from version
1.0.3 to 1.1.7.
My guess is that something changed in the way dovecot reads the user
file as the configuration stayed the same:

Token Bucket Filter and Dropping
I am trying to create my own Token Bucket Filter. However, I have a problem
with packet dropping.
Scenario :
I got two streams 20KB/s each.
I got one bucket with rate 20KB/s
I put both streams into this bucket.
When buffer is full packets need to be dropped. The problem is that only
every other packet needs to be dropped in this scenario.
Streams are the same so queue looks like that :

"dynamic memory allocation" for windows guests?
Hello,
In our office we would like to do something like "memory overcommitment" or rather "dynamic allocation" for a bunch of windows domUs (server 2003 & 2008).
We thought this should be a simple feature, however we did not find any fitting solution.
We use Xen 4.2.1 with xl toolstack.

Problems with smbclient send netbios message
Hi.
First, sorry by my bad english :)
I had a samba 3.0 and use a script with smbclient to send messages to 30
computers in my laboratory. I upgrade to debian squeeze and samba 3.5 and
now i dont use the script command.

problem with multiple masking

Cisco 7961G
All,
I am having a lot of trouble with the Cisco 7961G phones. I have
managed to get them up and running with Asterisk to the point where I
can get incoming calls and make outgoing calls. The problem is when I
make outgoing calls or extension to extension calls, the calls die after
20 seconds. I have google'd around and came up with little that is of
help. The firmware version I am

CoGetClassObject errors
I am running the application using Wine (version 0.9.27) on Fedora 4. The application runs fine. But when I try to access API calls from my testing application, it is unsuccessful with following errors:
err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {079aa557-4a18-424a-8eee-e39f0a8d41b9} not registered.
Any idea why? Is this Wine problem or I have missed some steps?

Yam not generating repomd.xml
I think I have obeyed the docs. Metadata in yam conf says repomd
(formerly createrepo but led to "unexisting --update option" message).
Conf is otherwise pretty close to examples. I have downloaded Centos
4.4 ISOs, I have done yam -gv, ISO files are correctly mounted and
published via HTTP, etc but no xml files are generated anywhere under
/var/www/yam. What am I overlooking? Can I have

session setup rejected by PDC and BDCs (NT4 SP5)
Hi,
I?ve setup a Samba 2.0.5a on a SuSe 6.2 based Linux 2.2.10. I?m trying to
integrate the server into our NT domain SF-DOM as described in
samba/textdocs/DOMAIN_MEMBER.txt . The described procedures work, but
access as domain user is impossible. In the logfile I get:

Problems with KMail and signatures
Hello,
For some reason KMail is all but coming to a stand still when I open messages
with any kind of signature. So I goto the configuration page of KMail
Security Crypo Back ends and I see nothing is checked off. So I hit rescan
and get the error that is listed in the attachment. Anyone else having this
issue?

Ongoing Samba Errors
Greetings
We just updated two RH9 servers to 3.0.14a-1 and are still seeing a lot
of errors in the logs.
They're not stopping us working but I would _really_ like to understand
what is causing them.
On the first server, in the logwatch, we get a whole swag of:

Date not changing...
I run Apache/2.2.8 (FreeBSD), mongrel_cluster (1.0.5) and mongrel
(1.1.3) The app I have issues with is a Rails 1.2.6 app.
In one controller I have a before filter that sets the month, year
variables to the current month and year if it''s not passed in the
request. The problem that I now have, after changing to the above
configuration from a lighttpd/fast-cgi), is that the date

Xen and USB device access from guest
I'm trying to get access to an USB device from a Linux Xen guest running
on Debian (tried with Etch, Lenny, and Bastian's kernels), without any
success so far.
All report I can find on the web state that it is not working on Xen
yet, but are talking about Xen 3.0 or earlier.
Performance is not an issue, as this is just for a hardware dongle for a
proprietary software which only checks

TCPWrappers + Sendmail = not working
I have set up entries in /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny as follows:
/etc/hosts.allow
sendmail : 10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0
sendmail : LOCAL
/etc/hosts.deny
sendmail : ALL
When I try to connect to port 25 from an Internet host via telnet, the
server still responds as usual. The only difference I see is this in
my /var/log/maillog:

using mysql from within a plugin
Hello,
I'm trying to access a mysql database in a plugin.
-What special compiler flags do I need? I discovered that when I don't
explicitly link lib-sql/libsql.a in, then I get an undefind symbol error
about sql_init when loading the plugin.
Shouldn't the imap process itself have sql support linked in, rather
than each plugin?

Dovecot timeout over NFS
Hi,
I'm using postfix with Dovecot 1.0.5 and getting the following errors
when a user moves a massive folders contents to trash (65000 or so
messages):
