Compile without GSSAPI disables SSL?
Perchance this is something unique to Red Hat -- I'm compiling/running 1.0rc?? on a CentOS 4 machine (i386), building RPMs and trimming down things I don't need (SQL e.g.). If I compile with the flag --with-gssapi, the resulting dovecot-auth binary links to libcrypto and libssl, the standard OpenSSL libs. Life is happy even though I don't need gssapi/krb5 support. If I remove

Please help, cant compile with mysql support
I've been going round and round with this, and its driving me nuts. Previously, dovecot was erroring out during make due to some MySQL library issues. I thought I had that fixed, but now the compiled version I'm getting says it doesn't have MySQL support. I just started over, and noticed that ./configure is saying: Install prefix ...................... : /usr/local File offsets

recent dovecot: assertion failed.
Hi, today I have built dovecot from cvs sources, and upgraded server from beta-7 to this newer version. Then i got problems with opening INBOX using thunderbird 1.5.0.2. The client says "Opening folder...", then, after about half a minute, blinking "connecting to the server" and returning to "Opening folder..." /var/log/maillog gets the messages: --- Jun 22

1.0rc10 proxy memory usage problem
Hi, I have a rather large dovecot setup (4 proxy only servers and 21 IMAP/POP3 servers) in production for 3 days now. The memory usage on my proxy servers only grows over time. It looks like a memory leak somewhere in dovecot. I have a RRD graph available on demand. Any advise on the configuration ? Timo, I have strace a process before the manual restart. If it can help just ask for. My

--enable-debug in 1.0beta8
It looks like there is an error in calling check_nuls for DEBUG In src/lib/ mempool-alloconly.c on line 85 you have check_nuls(block->prev, 0), which I think it should be check_nuls(block->prev); Can some developer confirm that? Thank you [root]#./configure --prefix=/opt/dovecot --enable-debug Install prefix ...................... : /opt/dovecot File offsets

Hello out there, im running Dovecot on "ubuntu Dapper" serving pop3 only in maildir-style, but the dove-auth-process refuses "answers" to the deliver or login-process from time to time, (several times a day), and I have no glue whats going on and why ... Debbugging password-Auth surprised me, as the transmitted password IS correct and allows an successfull authenification lots

openssh-2.9.9p2, AC_SYS_LARGEFILE, SCO, and HPUX
openssh-2.9.9p2/configure.in says: # Disabled until it works on SCO and HPUX #AC_SYS_LARGEFILE As an autoconf maintainer I'd like to fix this. Can you please explain what's broken on SCO and HPUX? I'm puzzled by the comment, as AC_SYS_LARGEFILE is a feature introduced in autoconf 2.50, whereas openssh-2.9.9p2/configure was built with autoconf 2.13. Anyway, some older GNU

Hi, attached patch against test76 adds inotify support and the --with-notify=... configure option that defaults to the current check for dnotify using no special method if dnotify cannot be compiled, and can be set to none, dnotify and inotify. If it is set to dnotify or inotify, failure to compile a test program results in an error. Also, it adds | file change notification method ..... :

[PATCH] for solaris 2.6
I didn't see this one applied to the repository yet. It may not be the best patch possible... basic problem is that _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE needs to be defined on Solaris 2.6 if AC_SYS_LARGEFILE ends up doing a '#define _FILE_OFFSET_BITS 64' If _FILE_OFFSET_BITS == 64, then <sys/resource.h> will define a 'struct rlimit64' but NOT define a 'struct rlimit' leading to
