Compiler warnings in dovecot-2.1.2 and pigeonhole 0.3.0
I'm seeing a few warnings emitted when building for x86. They're pretty
obvious, but if you want the configure options etc, I can provide those.
In Dovecot 2.1.2 (I also see some of these in 2.1.1):

[patch] Re: Test migration (IMAP copy) and INTERNALDATE?]
I haven't been able to find what is responsible for altering the time on
APPENDed mail, but was able to come up with a temporary workaround ...
simply calling utime() later on in the process resolves it.
Below is my patch.

dovecot: Fatal: Time just moved backwards by 3909 seconds.
Hi,
after setting up a KVM based virtual guest on one of our virtualization
servers, we see dovecot die on that virtual guest regularly because of
an alleged time shift.
The virtual guest is Centos 5.4 based with dovecot 1.2.8 (at first we
also tried with the original 1.0.7 (?) dovecot shipped with Centos).
I wrote "alleged time shift" because there is no timeshift whatsoever,

Ooops I just broke my dovecot install.
I've looked through the mailing list archives and not found anything
relevant.
When I try to connect to my mail server I get this message.

[PATCH] move highest_fd calculations to ioloop-select.c
Hello,
ioloop->highest_fd is used by ioloop-select.c only, so its
handling can be moved out of generic ioloop code. Attached
patch (agains -test35) does exactly this.
Please consider applying.
Best regards.

bug #4398
I was told to reopent bug #4398 if I continued to have problems. I don''t
think I have permissions to reopen a bug, but I have added a new comment. If
someone has time to look at it and give me so more feedback I''d appreciate
it.
Thanks for all your hard work!

dovecot-2.0.alpha2 doesn't compile on Mac OS X
Howdy, dovecot-2.0.alpha2 doesn't compile on Mac OS X.

system time automatically fowards in time and then comes back to normal
Hi friends,
I am running Nagios 2.7-1 on Centos 5.0 32-bit hosted on Vmware ESX
4.0. The issue I am seeing on the server is sometimes nagios is
showing the below messages in /var/log/messages and as the system time
gets changed some false alarms gets generated. I searched it on the
google but I am not able to find the correct solution. I even posted
on the nagios forum and they asked me to see

Time just moved backwards
This wins the 2007 award for strangest (or most amusing) log message:
dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 13 seconds. This might cause a lot of
problems, so I'll just kill myself now.
It does, unfortunately, leave dovecot dead, which was pretty mysterious to
me. Maybe it could re-exec instead?

Time moved backwards ....
OK..
So I synced the clock....
and got ....
dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 1 seconds. I'll sleep now until
we're back in present. http://wiki.dovecot.org/TimeMovedBackwards
( The first time I did this the clock moved backwards 2 hours after a
timezone change and dovecot suicided )
I think I understand the concept ...
However a mail server should probably be synchronized to the

Time just moved backwards
Hi there,
I got a daily cron (rdate to local time server) job wich adjusts time and
which constantly gives me headache.
Every day my dovecot suicides with:
"dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 11 seconds. This might cause a lot of
problems, so I'll just kill myself now."
Of course my onboard clock is constantly off by more than 5 secs.
I don't want
to abandon time

Fwd: Re: "Time just moved backwards" in Dovecot in a Xen DomU
Dunno, your email provider doesn't want to talk to me, heh, screw them :)
They claim i'm on an rbl, no rbl checks verify this. Even tried to
submit a request using their website, but it's broken and doesn't work
