Query Offset Parameter problem
Greetings, I''m trying to make a simple logging application that just displays the last few rows of information in the log. In order to do this, I am trying to use the ":offset" option for find. However, I am not getting the results I expect. For testing purposes, the query is being run against a table (MySQL) that contains 11 records. According to the RoR documentation,

Redirect back to last page?
I have a few pages where a user may do something (add tags, login, etc) and I would like to redirect them back to the last page they were at before calling that action. Is there an easy way to do this? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Goodbye for now, RoR
I started a php-based website a few months ago with a buddy of mine on netfirms.com. I was perusing their knowledge base and I came upon a quick-start for something called Ruby on Rails. Since then I have immersed myself in RoR. I''ve done the tutorials, I''ve purchased the books. But, I could never get even a sample RoR app to work on netfirms. 500 server errors.

What''s the best way to stop repeating this line in my controller?
Hi, I am trying to follow the "DRY" principle and came across a problem. I am working on a small ajax task manager, and right now in the index page which renders the list, I have (for example, in the Lists controller): def index @lists = List.find(:all) end Now within the controller there''s also a list_add action which is called via ajax.. def list_add if

Test fixture syntax
OK, I know I''m doing something bone-headed, but I can''t for the life of me figure it out. I''ve read the test fixtures Rdoc about eight dozen times, and it says (to me) that if I have a YAML fixture file, dogs.yml that looks like this: fido: id: 1 breed: Terrier fifi: id: 2 breed: Poodle Then I can include fixtures :dogs in my functional test, and

FIDO2 resident credentials
Hello list! Recently, there was a request to implement CTAP 2.1 resident credential management to Trezor, a hardware wallet which already supports FIDO2 authentication (full CTAP 2.0). My colleague Andrew[1] raised some points on GitHub and I'd like to check with you what are we missing or whether Andrew is right. Thank you for your help and understanding! Quoting from [1]: It really

Step matchers
I think we all know that the readability of steps isn''t great right now, and in fact there''s a very recent thread that discusses just that. It was that recent thread that prompted me to explore this a bit. The basic idea is that you define step matchers, which have a regex, and then you match step names against that regex. Kind of tough for me to explain so I''ll just

Proposed function file.backup
Dear R Core: In the kutils package, I wrote a function that is so handy that I would like to ask you put it in R itself. file.backup() will look at a file, find its last modification time, and create a new backup with a name that appends YYYYMMDD-HHMM to the file name. So now, whenever I worry that running write.csv or saving a graph might destroy something valuable, I use an idiom like fn

[LLVMdev] Fwd: Problem getting LoopInfo inside non-LoopPass
Basically I have two separate passes (first is a loop pass) which are two different files and two different opts but I need to keep the data consistent (ie, I want the changes to show up the resulting .bc output file from the first (loop) pass so the second pass can use these new names. Currently, when I print out "BB->getName().str()" after the code below, I get the correct renaming

Actionmailer sending many emails in same SMTP connection?
Hi, I need to implement a mailing list system, Actionmailer is great, but i haven''t found out a way to send many (hundreds of) emails without having to reconnect to the SMTP server for each mail when calling Mymailer::deliver_my_mail(recipient) Any tips? (Possibly without calling directly Net::SMTP, so i can take advantage of the rhtml rendering of the body) Thanks, Best regards,

[LLVMdev] Fwd: Problem getting LoopInfo inside non-LoopPass
Never create a Twine as a local variable. V->setName(Twine("new_name")); should work fine, however. Note that Twine itself has an implicit constructor from const char *, so this code: V->setName("new_name"); should also work fine.
