Interface with Flickr
Does anyone know how to get going with the flickr api WITHOUT using the ''flickr.rb'' gem? I''m wanting to just use the REXML and ''net/http'' stuff. I''m just wondering how to send requests to the api and handle the response. Any tips would be great! Thanks! -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

This doesn''t work: @params.each_pair do |this_index, this_param| cookies[this_index] = { :value => this_param, :expires => 30.days.from_now } end

Mongrel 0.3.18, rails 1.1.6 and cookies
I''ve run into an issue with my rails application being unable to properly set cookies on Mongrel 0.3.18. If I run the simplified code below in Mongrel 3.14.4, both cookies are properly sent to and saved by the browser. With the same code in 0.3.18, only the auth_token cookie is created (if I switch them, only the userid as it will only properly create the first cookie in the list.)

Cookie Sessions in Merb?
I like the cookie sessions that Rails edge has - they make sense, they''re fast, easy. For those that don''t know: the default session mechanism is to give developers a Hash called session. To store this object between requests it Marshals the session object and sends the object itself (now as a bitstream) back to clients to store in their cookie file. To prevent users from

After I attempted to add ActionMailer functionality, it gave the "Application error (Rails)" and now, everything on my site works, except for the part where the Actionmailer ''would have'' sent the email. I took that out now, re-uploaded the file, and ran "killall -USR1 dispatch.fcgi" and still nothing. Everything else works, except that. Any idea what

Session ID in a cookie?
I''ve been looking around for how to store the session ID in a cookie. The "Agile Web Development with Rails" books seems to indicate that this is done by default with Rails. But I don''t see a cookie being set in my browser. (yeah, they''re enabled) I poked through the RForum code to find something referencing "cookies" but nothing came up. Does

How to redirect_to the same page after comment posting?
How can I have the page redirect_to the same page after someone posts a comment? I know that you can do "redirect_to :action => ''index''", but the page is located at this URL: /posts/2006/02/01/individual_post/ So, the action is "individual" which is in the "posts" controller, but there is a custom URL mapped for the URL shown above. How can
