APC BX ...MI series
Hello, Just wanted to clarify: what sort of issues did you have with the APC? Since last year there have been several posts such as https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/2347 about BX****MI (3-4 digits for wattage) series built (or flashed with firmware?) roughly in 2023-2024 as frequently reporting low-battery/replace-battery/all-good events in a short timeframe, both with NUT and

Hi, ?Thank you for your prompt response! The problem I had with my BX950MI unit was that it was frequently reporting off-line, on batt and often not responding to requests from apcupsd (apcaccess) and then going back online again. However, the warranty replacement was prompted by a failed battery, apparently leaking acid, after around ten months use.? As a matter of interest, I had a

NUT configuration with APC CS650 and ESXi host
Hello, I have decided to upgrade my home server by turning it into an ESXi host and have also added an APC CS650 UPS. My plan was to have NUT version 2.6.4 running in a Debian 7.7.0 virtual machine, NUT installed using apt. I configured NUT to run as a netserver, installed the ESXi nut .vib, configured the shutdowncmd in the VM to do nothing, so that the ESXi host would close that virtual machine

APC CS650/550 not turning load back on when power return
Hi all, I have a APC Back-up CS500 and have the same problem as posted in the http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2010-October/006243.html thread. Does somebody figure out the command, which was send to the UPS to shutdown the UPS after a delay time with a automatically with switch on after power return. Best regards R.

ZFS-DMU benchmark on Linux
Hi all, You will find in attachment to this mail some benchmarks we made on Linux with pios over ZFS-DMU. There are some interesting things about ZFS tuning and some ideas for breaking a bottleneck we identified in DMU. APC CS650 not turning load back on when power return
Hi all, I'm in the process of testing a new APC Back Ups CS-650, connected to a Debian Linux box via USB and being monitored with NUT v2.4 (installed via the package from Debian testing). When I remove power from the UPS (with a dummy load connected) then once the battery gets down to the appropriate level the PC it's connected to via USB shuts down, and tells the UPS to power down the

NUT v2.8.2, the Easter Egg Edition
Hello all, After a prolonged labour with a few re-issues of the tag and many pushes during the day, NUT v2.8.2 was found in a strange egg by a bunny hopping away from the April fools. All that - blessed under the shine of Polar lights in the middle of the icy North Ocean. A python module was released but slipped away with an earlier commit. Other artifacts should follow shortly. NUT v2.8.2, the Easter Egg Edition
Errata coming up for NUT v2.8.2: * it was discovered that the nut-driver-enumerator (NDE) script had a regression which caused it to not reload nut-driver instances (systemd, SMF) when `ups.conf` edits happened. * on a related note, it may be possible that "live" driver reloading (at least on master branch) does not reduce debug verbosity to zero when `debug_min 0` is active in its
