BlackBerry will not setup my POP3 email, all other mail clients fine
Hello, hoping someone here might be able to help me or at least point me in
the right direction.
My company recently (last week) moved to a new dedicated server for website
and email hosting. It is a fairly run-of-the-mill Linux machine running
cPanel and Dovecot (with the BlackBerry Fastmail service enabled) as a mail
server.
When we first set up the server, I was able to create a mailbox,

[oOT] ploenk.net@eplus.blackberry.com please fix your mail forwarding
I've received a bunch of these blackberry backscatter messages over the past
week and have been unable to determine which list user is the cause of this.
Whoever is forwarding your email to the blackberry address below, please
fix the situation. It's becoming really annoying receiving these
backscatter bounces that give no clue as to what the nature of the problem
is. Thanks.

Using the PBX Directory from a Blackberry
Hi All,
A couple of customers called complaining that folks were dialing into
their PBX trying to use the Directory to locate users, from a
Blackberry, and getting frustrated due to the incompatibility of
dialing alpha characters on the the qwerty keyboard and not getting
through.
The issue of course is the Directory application only recognizes
numeric digit tones, not alpha characters (not sure

Blackberry suggestions?
Hi, I'm not a Blackberry user, but we have some customers currently
using an Exchange server with some kind of blackberry and interested in
moving their service over to our dovecot 1.1 server
Does anyone have any notes or recommendations on getting a (UK)
Blackberry to talk effectively to a normal Dovecot server, and are there
any things to consider in order to get whatever features they

Server going crazy!!!
I have dovecot-0.99.11-1FC3.4. I use Pine on the server and Outlook
2003 on remote computers to access IMAP and POP3 to access via my
blackberry 7100t. It seems that after using IMAP and then going back to
pine it somehow refreshes everything and all the messages are picked up on
my blackberry once again as if the emails are new. So everything that is
in my inbox is now pushed or grabbed

Blackberries
Anyone has had differing experiences with different blackberries?
Someone with Blackberry Gold/Bold get only 1 e-mail
yet regualr blackberries get multiple copies of the same e-mials.
Is this a blackberry bug or is their something I have to set in Dovecot?

naiveBayes: slow predict, weird results
I did this:
nb <- naiveBayes(users, platform)
pl <- predict(nb,users)
nrow(users) ==> 314781
ncol(users) ==> 109
1. naiveBayes() was quite fast (~20 seconds), while predict() was slow
(tens of minutes). why?
2. the predict results were completely off the mark (quite the opposite
of the expected overfitting). suffice it to show the tables:

LogicMail for Blackberry and Dovecot
FYI - I just had a great interaction with the developer of this
software. LogicMail for Blackberry is a true IMAP/POP client for
Blackberry, which wasn't working correctly with Dovecot's IMAP.
I merely posted in the sourceforge forums and got a VERY fast response
with a working fix. http://logicmail.sourceforge.net/
Unfortunately I'm not a Blackberry user, but I know IMAP

Postfix Questions
Hi All,
I am working on setting up Postfix and I have a few questions:
1. mynetworks = Do I put my public static IP here? So I am hosting at
another provider on my own dedicated hardware. Do I put that machines
IP or the IP of my apartment where I want to access from? Second, do I
have to know the Ip information for my BlackBerry to work as well?

asset_host?
Hi there,
I''m wrapping my head around Facebooker to try and build some integration points between an existing ROR application and facebook. I''ve managed to get FB talking to my app but when I tried to access my ROR app directly I noticed that all requests for images, CSS, and JS files were being made through my callback_url.
