Hi all... The linux box I am working on I do not have root access to, and given I am at a government site all hope of that is lost. I have installed the mysql gem as follows: env ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64" gem install mysql -- --with-mysql-config=/home/t192zcs/mysql/mysql-5.1.39-linux-x86_64-icc-glibc23/bin/mysql_config

document.getElementsByClassName (prototype) and Element.childrenWithClassName (scriptaculous) redundancy?
Is there a reason scriptaculous provides what appears to be a redundant function? The reason I''m asking is that it only seems to be used twice throughout all of scriptaculous, and it doesn''t appear to work properly (for some reason it''s returning the actual element, rather than an array with all of the elements) If there is no reason, I''ll modify it to use

WIFI
Does anyone know of an easy to install/use WIFI PCMCIA card for Linux. I am currently running Cent OS 4.0 on my laptop and I have a D-Link DWL-G650 Ver B which will run off of the madwifi Beta drivers. Now I know I can get this to work but I would feel a little better using software that is in production development. Any suggestions and input would be helpful on my new card purchase. The card

asterisk T1 question
I currently have a Fractional T1 coming into my site which runs into an adtran device which splits out 10 channels for data in the form of an ethernet interface and 14 analog lines for voice. The ethernet goes directly to a pix firewall. How would I split out the T1 so that it sends a T1 to the asterisk server and still provides the ethernet to the pix. can I use a splitter and use the

RE: document.getElementsByClassName (prototype) andElement.childrenWithClassName (scriptaculous) redundancy?
Isn''t the difference that the scriptaculous one only gets child nodes from the node you specify, whereas the prototype one gets all in the entire document? Still, it would be nice to just have the one, and let you pass in the document element if you wanted all of them. Just guessing, really. I haven''t looked at the code in question. my future with dovecot (?any recipe?)
Hallo I am very impressed from this howto's: 1) Postfix-Cyrus-Web-cyradm-HOWTO (mysql) http://www.delouw.ch/linux/postfix.phtml 2) Pop-Toaster using Qmail-Vmailmgr-Courier-SquirrelMail http://qvcs-guide.sourceforge.net/ (this work for me) I hope to build anything like above, but with Dovecot: [Postfix-tls-smtpauth-Dovecot-Mailadmin*-MySQL-SquirrelMail-https] Postgresql is ok for

Jails and loopback interfaces
I've got a server running FreeBSD 6.2 and PF. The server has a couple dozen jails on it. Previously, I had a few "private" services such as MySQL running on loopback IPs (127.0.0.2+) and the rest of the jails running on the public IPs. I have to renumber my machine with a new block of public IPs so I thought I'd be clever and move all the jails onto loopback IPs. Then

答复: I love NUT
Carsten, This is a common issue in technology when you have complex products that the majority of consumers of those products do not understand how they operate. If most UPS customers understood the importance of standardization they would have refused to purchase non-standard UPSes and all UPSes would have long ago standardized on a single management protocol. The normal thing is that product
