Roadmap to future
v1.1.0 is finally getting closer, so it's time to start planning what
happens after it. Below is a list of some of the larger features I'm
planning on implementing. I'm not yet sure in which order, so I think
it's time to ask again what features companies would be willing to pay
for?

Rsync when using --whole-file
I have a question about what happens at the code level when I use
--whole-file. I know that it turns off the rolling checksum. I also
understand that it only checks the file's mtime and size to identify
whether there should be some transfer. Two questions:
1) Could anyone give me a pointer to the correct file so that I can read
what happens when --whole-file is used?
2) When using

Possible bug with proxy in 2.0.4
Hi, I *think* there might be an auth/proxy bug in 2.0.4
Specifically I cloned my 1.2 virtual machine, upgraded the clone to
2.0.4 and tested it by trying to login using CRAM-MD5. I get the errors:
Sep 29 22:50:23 mail_test dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (auth
failed, 1 attempts): user=<demo at abc.com>, method=CRAM-MD5, rip=x.x.x.x,

Compressing Maildir mails on delivery
Now supported by v2.0. Also as a patch to v1.2:
http://dovecot.org/patches/1.2/zlib-compress.diff
I'm not really sure if I should commit it to v1.2 code tree. The code
contains ugly copy&pasted io_stream_copy() and v1.2 is supposed to be
feature complete..

Get a list of all terms in an indexed corpus
Hello,
I have a corpus that I have indexed with xapian/xappy and I would now
like to generate a corpus-specific list of stopwords. (This is a
technical corpus, so a typical stopword list wouldn't be helpful.)
My first thought was to ask the xapian database for a list of terms
followed by their frequency. My intuition is that I could probably bring
together a list of stopwords by examining

v1.2-specific fixes.
Not many people have been testing v1.2 releases. Wonder if there's
something I could do to improve that. I guess v1.2 is kind of missing
those killer features that would get a

v1.1.20 vs v1.2 & v2.0
I am currently running v1.1.20 and was wondering if there is any
compelling reason to upgrade to v1.2 or v2.0?
For example is there any security updates in v1.2 or v2.0 that aren't
included in v1.1.20?
The other major thing I would be interested in knowing is there any
speed enhancements in the newer versions? I am using basic PAM Auth and
Maildir mailboxes on a Linux box. Let me know

v2.0.beta4: conversion of v1.2 configuration
Hi Timo,
I've just tried to convert my v1.2 configuration to a v2.0
configuration. Below a few obsolete warnings, among others
"mail_executable has been replaced by service { executable }", was an
interesting error:
"doveconf: Error: duplicate listener: 198:"
The broken parts of the converted configuration:

and possibly exploitable. MODSEQ code is new in v1.2, so v1.1 and older
releases are not affected.

v1.1.7 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/dovecot-1.1.7.tar.gz

I should have released this earlier since v1.1.6 had that annoying
startup problem, but surprisingly few people complained about it so I
kind of forgot about it then.
BTW. v1.2 progresses nicely. Now that shared mailboxes are finally fully
supported, there aren't any widely used IMAP
