Using 'dummy.ups' for a real application, not just testing...

ZAP TDM and DTMF issue
Hi, I'm curious if there is any other option beside relaxdtmf in zapata , or any where else to tune dtmf detection on TDM400 fxo boards. in one of our sites provider is giving us 4 analog lines out of Adtran router and Asterisk often recognize DTMF wrong. Obviously playing with relaxdtmf was not helpfull. What do we know anout 1.2 and 1.4 DTMF handling diffrences? At this time i'm using

python-libvirt domain.destroy() doesn't appear to be working for me
I'm using the python-libvirt library and finding that I cannot get .destroy() or .shutdown() to work. https://github.com/simora/docker-libvirt-flask/blob/cba6041b47bdf4ccb3b9506a0379cf8c788a9a57/root/app/mqtt.py#L96 That is the line in my code. .create() works fine and using virsh in the docker container works fine to destroy the domain as well. This is based on ubuntu bionic in a docker

Re: python-libvirt domain.destroy() doesn't appear to be working for me
I was simply following the examples in the python-libvirt repo. If those methods raise exceptions I'll definitely change to try/catch. Thank you. The maintainer of the repo should update the examples and documentation if exceptions are raised by those. On Mon, Aug 24, 2020, 05:31 Daniel P. Proposed change to the broker RESTful API and CLI to handle parameters needed in additional broker plugins
Hi all; There has been a separate thread recently in this mailing list around adding a Chef broker plugin to Razor. As this effort has progressed, the realization has gradually sunk in that the parameters that are needed for a successful a handoff to Puppet might not be the same as the parameters that are needed for a successful handoff to Chef. That has left us with a couple of

Broker lines on a T1 : Signaling convention?
I've been running Asterisk with a standard PRI for regular telecoms. This is also connected to our Nortel PBX for 'ordinary users'. The system has been working nicely (including Cisco 7970 phones that are connecting via SIP). But now I'm going 'on net' with broker lines (for a trading room environment). The telecoms people at the other end of the connection tell me that

(OT) Anyone Ever Use http://shopfort1.com as a Broker
I have no affiliation with them but if their quotes are accurate then they provide quite a few options as far as TDM connectivity and realtime pricing. If you do not want a phone call from a sales person, give them a BTN that goes to an IVR or something. They call no matter which box you click as far as "contact me now" "contact me later" "just window shopping".

Printing Central European characters
Dear R-users, I have problems with printing Central European (CE) characters (e.g. {\H o} and {\H u}) in graphics made by R. After executing the following code I can see the CE characters with gv on my screen, but I cannot print them on a postscript printer. > postscript(file="proba.ps",enc="ISOLatin2.enc") > plot(0:15,0:15,type="n") > grid(15,15,lty=1)

do_pwchange() is broken on SCO UnixWare 7
The do_pwchange() function in session.c needs to pass the username as an argument to the passwd command. Without it, passwd always fails with something like "passwd: unknown user" as if its getting a blank user arg. It's strange but so are many other things in SCO, which BTW was NOT my OS of choice :( To make it work I simply changed line 1317 to this: execl(_PATH_PASSWD_PROG,

Synthesize low batt (LB) fron SNMP UPS which does not support this?
My $0.02: LB is baked in to nut behavior. So if a UPS doesn't report LB, then it makes sense to synthesize it. Synthetic LB is the cleanest fix at the earlier processing point. One could have a config that is basically synthetic-lowbatt-percent that generates LB if (as Jim says) on battery, not calibrating, and batt% <= that. One could have a similar config

Avoiding a Loop?
Dear R-Helpers, I have a matrix where the first column is known. The second column is the result of multiplying this first column with a constant "const". The third column is the result of multiplying the second column with "const"..... So far, I did it like this (as a simplified example): nr.of.columns <- 4 myconstant <- 27.5 mymatrix <- matrix(numeric(0), nrow=5,

Using 'dummy.ups' for a real application, not just testing...
Good Morning, I am working on setting up a 12V DC UPS that will power a NAS and a router for a few hours. It contains some lithium-ion batteries, and a BMS to control charging. Since it is just a dumb box with batteries, it has no intelligence to inform the NAS of its status. This is where NUT comes in... I would like to incorporate a Raspberry Pi NUT server into this scheme. The Rpi can

php version 4.4 / ez publish
Hi list, is there any repository on this world where I can stick to and update to a stable and hopefully secure and hopefully long supported version 4.4 of php? EZ publish's software requirements as of the current version tells me that it requires php 4.4 which doesn't meet what Centos 4.4 or its upstream provides. For a certain project I want to use ez publish. Is there any solution
