How to create margin area around a graphic made by xyplot
Hi list,
Does any body know how I can create a margin area around the graphic created
by xyplot (the same thing we do using par in plot function)? I tried
viewport, but does not work.
Here is the code:
==============================================
require(grid)
vp<- viewport(x=.1,y=.1,width=.6,height=.6,just=c("left", "bottom"))
pushViewport(vp)

xyplot, the first tick mark starts from 2 rather than 1, and also there is a NA as the final tick mark.
I am trying to plot some data, but have got some difficulties with labels on
the tick marks on the x-axes. There are 20 data points. All I want to do is
to plot the Loss versus Lines. When I use xyplot, the first tick mark starts
from 2 rather than 1, and also there is a NA as the final tick mark.
Here is the R code you code give it a try:
Would any body be able to fix this, please?

Second y-axis
Hi list,
In the following code, how can I place the percentage label away from
numbers in the second y-axis (lets say all should be inside plot area)?
Thanks

Conditional Autoregressive (CAR) model simulation
Hi all !
I would like to simulate spatial lattice/areal data with a conditional
autoregressive (CAR) structure, for a given neighbouring matrix and for a
autocorrelation "rho".
Is there any package or function in R to perform it ?
I found the function "CARsimu" in the hdeco library, but this is not what
I'm looking for
Thanks in advance

latest git problems
I have just grabbed latest git source (22:29) and compiled it, and have
noticed that although gtk-window-decorator is active, compiz behaves
like it weren't - no window decoration. I've recreated my config but it
did not help.
P.S.
freedesktop, not freedektop.

The commit actually renames novell.png to freedektop.png

stop criteria when "L-BFGS-B needs finite values of 'fn' " in optim
Hi all!
I'm running some simulations and I need to estimate some paramaters with
optim( ),
in some cases optim stops with the next message:
"L-BFGS-B needs finite values of 'fn' "
I would like to know how to include and "if" condition when this happen,
could it be something like:
myfun <- optim(....) # run my function

vectorizaciones
Hola,
De esta manera sí funciona:
#-----------------------------------------------
#...................
vec1a <- as.vector(1:3)
n1a <- 3
n2a <- 3
#P1a <- matrix(rnorm(30),nrow=3)
#P2a <- matrix(rnorm(30),nrow=3)
Ka <- 10
n.val <- 30
# En forma de funcion
producto <- function(n1a,n2a,Ka,vec1a,n.val){
# A eliminar una vez compruebes que la vectorización funciona

Stack level too deep on Cygwin and on Debian / Colinux with 0.5.0 - 0.8.5 Beta gems
Hi,
as it is not possible for me to use a sensible development environment
to start with I have to use emulations. I use Cygwin on windows and also
Colinux. (Colinux is really amazing cause it lets you run actual linux
binaries und Windows.) So here is my problem, which by the way exists
since Rails 0.5.0 I think. It was the reason I tried Colinux in the
first place, cause the error first

Secuencias de ficheros
Hola,
tengo que leer más de 2000 ficheros en un programa largo de estimación
sobre imágenes médicas, con una estructura como ésta:
desde "IM-0005-0001.dcm" hasta "IM-0005-2021.dcm"
Si hago esto:
ui <- NULL
for (i in 1:8){
ui[i] <- paste("IM-0005-", i,".dcm", sep="")
}
ui
Obtendría:
[1] "IM-0005-1.dcm"

Test chi cuadrado de bondad de ajuste
Hola,

He
intentado vectorizarlo pero sin mucho éxito con la función "Vectorize".
¿sabríais de alguna manera de evitar los bucles o de que funcionase Vectorize?
Adjunto un ejemplo

vec1a <- as.vector(1:3)
n1a <- 3
n2a <- 3
P1a <- matrix(rnorm(30),nrow=3)

corAR1 in a random effects panel
Hi everyone,
I am interested in estimating this type of random effects panel:
y_it = x'_it * beta + u_it + e_it
u_it = rho * u_it-1 + d_it rho belongs to (-1, 1)
where:
u and e are independent and normally zero-mean distributed.
d is also independently normally zero-mean distributed.
So, I want random effects for group i to be correlated in t, following an
AR(1) process.

How to include TeX formulae in R plots?
Hi, all
Does anybody know if it is possible to include TeX-style formulae
in R plots? The aim is to export such plots to LaTeX documents
using the postscript() device.
Many thanks in advance,

window decorations explained and how to move forward
The window decoration system in compiz is implemented using a decoration
plugin and a separate window decoration drawing application (a
decorator). The decorator is drawing window decorations to minimal sized
pixmaps. These pixmaps along with sets of coordinates which maps the
pixmaps to windows are communicated back to the decorator plugin through
a property on the client window. The coordinates

Help
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to excess the inbuit .Fortran and .C codes of R. Can any one
help me in that. For example in kmeans clustering the algorithms are written
in .Fortran I want to access them and see the .Fortran syntax of the codes.
Can any one help me how can I do that?
Thanx,

64 bits machines
Hello,
I would like to know whether is possible to install R in a Itanium 64
bits computer. We cannot neither compile source code because we have
Intel compilers.
Specifically, we have an Intel Itanium II, Linux Red Hat 64 bits and
Intel Fortran and C compilers: ifort, icc.
Thanks
