[R-sig-ME] lmer error: number of observations <= number of random effects
Dear Srinidhi, You are trying to fit 1 random intercept and 2 random slopes per individual, while you have at most 3 observations per individual. You simply don't have enough data to fit the random slopes. Reduce the random part to (1|ID). Best regards, Thierry ir. Problem of lmer under FreeBSD
I encounter such problem with lmer under FreeBSD, but not under Windows. Anyone knows why? lme4/Matrix: Call to .Call("mer_update_y"...) and LMEoptimize gives unexpected side effect...
Dear all I want to compute Monte Carlo p-values in lmer-models based on sampled data sets. To speed up calculations, I've tried to use internal functions from the Matrix package (as suggested ealier on the list by Doug Bates). So I did: fm2 <- lmer(resistance ~ ET + position + (1|Grp), Semiconductor, method='ML') simdata<-simulate(fm2,nsim=1) ynew <- simdata[,1] mer

Help in splitting ists into sub-lists
Dear List, Let's say I have a list whose components are 2 matrices (as exemplified in the "mylist" object below). I'd like to create a list with components being 4 matrices based on an logical index vector. is there a way to simplify what I'm doing to obtain the results in "mylist2"? I'd like something that would work on an arbitrary number of elements in

nls error message
When I try to run the following non-linear regression with variables index1 and prl3: > beta = 4 > nls(index1~beta*(1/prl3),start = list(beta = 4)) I get this error message: Error in nls(index1 ~ beta * (1/prl3), start = list(beta = 4)) : REAL() can only be applied to a 'numeric', not a 'logical' I've got no clue as to the REAL() to which this is referring. Perl Search::Xapian
Hi, Trying to learn Search::Xapian and be better at perl at the same time, I'm stuck, at the DB_CREATE_OR_OPEN error. Perl says this: ~/dev/sandbox/Xapian-perl$ ./Index1-Xap.pl 100-objects-v1.csv db "db" is not exported by the Search::Xapian module Can't continue after import errors at ./Index1-Xap.pl line 7. Degrees of Freedom for lme.
Hi, I am trying to run a linear mixed effect model on data. I have 17 longitudinal subjects and 36 single subjects, and this is the code I'm using (below). So, INDEX1 is the column with brain volumns, and the predictors are gort and age, by time ID (time they were seen). I believe my data is set up the right way, but when I run it, I get DF for Intercept is 49, and DF for slope is 13?

Problem with RMA using limma, oligo and pdInfoBuilder packages
Hi, I am a Ph.D. student from Québec, Canada. I’m a beginner with R and Bioconductor. Until now the only experience I have is in analyzing microarray data using affy and limma packages. Now I am trying to analyze Rat Gene 10 st arrays and I would like to run RMA analysis and Smyth moderated t test on those arrays. Since no cdf official package is available for those arrays, after reading many

Mixed model
Hi All, I am currently conducting a mixed model. I have 7 repeated measures on a simulated clinical trial. If I understand the model correctly, the outcome is the measure (as a factor) the predictors are clinical group and trial (1-7). The fixed factors are the measure and group. The random factors are the intercept and id and group. I tried using 2 functions to calculate mixed effects.

[LLVMdev] double* to <2 x double>*
Does anyone know how to instrument *double* to <2 x doulbe>**, e.g., 2.2 --> <2.2, 2.2>? For example, I want to change the following IR code %arrayidx1 = getelementptr inbounds [100 x double]* @main.B, i32 0, i32 %i.021 %1 = load double* %arrayidx1, align 4, !tbaa !0 to: %arrayidx1 = getelementptr inbounds [100 x double]* @main.B, i32 0, i32 %i.021 %1 = bitcast double* %arrayidx1

LLD PDB Lines zero number issue
Hello Rui, We meet an LLD PDB issue that if we link assembly code with C code and set >= -O1 level optimization in LTO, the executable's PDB will contain wrong zero Lines for the assembly code in DEBUG_S_LINES subsection, and then our COFF source debuggers will fail to do the source-level debug on the executable. This issue is same in both Linux and Windows, and I figure out a simple case

Storing results in a single file after looping over all files
Hi All, I have a whole lot of *.raw files in my working folder and I am doing the same analysis on each of those and want to save all the results in a single file. I am making some mistake here and can't figure out how to solve it. Say, the *.raw files are ABCD.raw, EFGH.raw, IJKL.raw ... The files are of this format ID PHI?? aa1? aa2? aa3 .... 1??? 1???? 1.3?? 2.0?? 1.0 2??? 0????

Acceder a varias tablas

If so, none of my comments will apply. >

LLD PDB Lines zero number issue
OK, maybe I was wrong and the “-use-unknown-locations” option is not the issue root cause. I'm not familiar with the LLVM codebase and I appreciate any suggestion on how to debug this issue. I'd like to know is it a clang issue or a lld issue? Is there a tool which can dump the obj file debug location info? Let me simplify the previous test case to reproduce this issue. All what you need

[LLVMdev] how to use "new instruction()"
Thanks Nick, that's something what I am trying to implement as the following. But it seems I still only get the constant value not the instruction. Could you please go over the following instruction and see what wrong with it? Thanks for your time again. Value *vecVal = NULL; IRBuilder<> builder(&*pInst); Type *vecTy = VectorType::get(Type::getDoubleTy(ctxt), 2); Value
