Hello, First of all thanks to the poster on the wiki for centosplus. I've configed it added include and exclude lines, do i need the centos-priority plugin? I want to enable centosplus to use the centosplus kernel and the centosplus webstack. Below are my base, updates, and centosplus repo definitions. I'm getting an error when i do a yum update that a dependency for postfix

While trying to get my SD card reader to work with CentOS, it was recommended to me that I update to the centosplus kernel. Hi folks, according to several findings on the web I tried to find postfix-2.6.5 in centosplus adding this to my /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo: [base] exclude=postfix [centosplus] includepkgs=postfix in the right places. But when I "yum remove" and "yum install" postfix then, it's "only" 2.3.3-2.1 with added mysql/pqsql support.

I think Jim (the other one) is doing a marvellous job with extras and plus but he needs to expand the size of his tent. A sensible package policy in extras/plus repo will mean fewer temptations to install 3rd party repo's that can break your system. Some of the packages i would like to see are :- - MySQL 5 rpms - php 5 rpms (already provided) - Open Office 2.0 rpms - webmin - rkhunter -

Hi, this may sound stupid, but; - I'd like to install unsupported x86/i386 smp kernel because I need some support (for eg. dual booting for r/w files for winXP) etc. I'm now using 4.3 latest smp kernel. Hi All, Is the centosplus kernel still needed for drbd support? I noticed that if I do a 'yum update kmod-drbd', yum gives me an error because it wants to install the "normal" CentOS kernel, but can't since I have it excluded. I am trying to get off the plus kernel. Hasn't helped yet, and my MadWifi does not work with it. So I used YUMEX to remove all of the plus kernel cruft that I could see. I rebooted. ONly the standard kernel was listed in the boot menu (good sign). Start up Yumex, and it is showing that the plus kernel needs updating. Nothing on the regular kernel. Just yum update behaves the same.
