umass device support...how generic is it?
Is there any point in reporting specific devices that work with umass(4) any more, or is the assumption these days that anything that will work on a Windows or Linux box, without additional drivers, will also work on FreeBSD? The cheapo 'pen drive' that I picked up on ebay yesterday surprised me by just working, with no pain whatsoever... I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't be so

Weird USB lockup with Linksys USB100TX NIC
So I have one of these, that I bought cheap on eBay. It was working just fine on my main -STABLE workstation (Abit KG7 motherboard), up until last Friday when I moved it onto the VIA EPIA-M machine I'm building. The NIC was detected OK as aue0, then the machine locked up running dhclient. It turns out that it wasn't really hung, but apparently spinning in the kernel on behalf of

Via EPIA Mini-ITX motherboard
i had such problems on my mini-ITX. when sharing irq's with video or sound card, network traffic during ogg playing (for example on nfs) or quick moving windows crashed the interface. ifconfig down/up resolved the problem. it has been solved for a while now (i couldn't reproduce this problem) i think. regards, OLivier Le Jeudi 12 D?cembre 2002 03:45, The Anarcat a ?crit : >

cvs pserver sig11 on 4.8-R
Hi all, We recently moved our CVS repository from a 4.6-STABLE machine to a brand new 4.8 install, on another identical machine. The server runs cvs in 'pserver' mode, for remote access by various Windows/Solaris/Linux/FreeBSD clients. We pretty soon noticed that the cvs server process was occasionally crashing on sig11 (ie. a segfault). The only evidence for this was in the message

IAX Trunk issue. (Dale Noll
Dale, Sorry for taking so long to answer, I've been traveling. Thanks so much for the suggestion, your solution worked perfectly. I'm not sure why I didn't notice that the IAX trunk was working in the other direction. Once again, thanks for your help. SOAR - Stored object caches for R
I have just submitted SOAR version 0.99-2 to CRAN.? This replaces version 0.99-1, submitted yesterday, in which a small bug was discovered rather quickly (only affecting Windows, though). This package is a small set of utilities for making and managing 'Stored Object Caches' for R.? These allow objects to be stored on the disc rather than in memory, with automatic recall into R by the

Do I have to have a domain name called EAGLES.com in order to have LDAP working with Samba 3.0 as my PDC? This is from my "slapd.conf" suffix "dc=EAGLES,dc=com" rootdn "cn=Manager,dc=EAGLES,dc=com" as I try to login from windows 95, I get the following message in the log file. SayUnixTime in CVS?
Can anyone tell me what I missed? I'm trying to setup a simple extension (400) that reports the time when it is dialed. I searched the threads and it seems like this should work... Here's what's in my extensions.conf: exten => 400,1,Answer() exten => 400,n,Wait,1 exten => 400,n,SayUnixTime(,EST5EDT,) exten => 400,n,Playback(tt-weasels) [BTW, tt-weasels is hillarious!

IAX Trunk issue.
I'm testing a few IAX trunk scenarios in a controlled lab. From server2 extension 5000 (Server IP Address 172.16.200.212) I dial 6001 which goes across the IAX trunk to server 1 (IP address 172.16.200.210). Instead of ringing the 6001 phone, it plays tt-weasels (the s extension). When I dial 6099 it also plays tt-weasels as it's supposed to, but it's not the tt-weasels under its

Caller ID Matching in extensions.conf
I'm running 1.2.9.1, and I can't get caller id dialplan matching to work. When calling from 9220370 to 1234, the following does not match. exten => 9220370/1234,1,NoOp(${CALLERIDNUM}) exten => 9220370/1234,2,Answer exten => 9220370/1234,3,Playback(tt-weasels) However, when calling from 9220370 to 1234, this DOES match. exten => 1234,1,NoOp(${CALLERIDNUM}) exten =>

How does one use sip_autoreg
I've RTFM and Googled but can't seem to get sip_autoreg to work (or perhaps I'm just completely missing the point of it). (what I'd like to do is avoid having to put explicit entries for every SIP phone into extensions.conf). Asterisk is creating entries in the (virtual) context sip_autoreg: asterisk*CLI> dialplan show sip_autoreg [ Context 'sip_autoreg'

why doesn't "s" accept incoming call
Call from 'sip' to extension '+1xxxyyyzzzz' rejected because extension not found in context 'out'. CDR Problem - No CDRs when call is not bridged
Hi! I just found out that Asterisk (1.4) does not write CDRs if the incoming call was not forwarded but handled internally without answering the call. E.g.: [from_pstn] exten => 997,1,Answer() exten => 997,2,Playback(tt-weasels) exten => 997,3,Hangup() exten => 999,1,Playback(tt-weasels|noanswer) exten => 999,4,Hangup() For incoming calls to 997 a CDR will be written, but not

multinomial MCMCglmm
Dear all, I would like to add mixed effects in a multinomial model and I am trying to use MCMCglmm for that. The main problem I face: my data set consits of a trapping data set, where the observation at eah trap (1 or 0 for each species) have been aggregated per traplines. Therefore we have a proportion of presence/absence for each species per trapline. ex: ID_line mesh habitat Apsy Mygl

R-help Digest, Vol 115, Issue 12
Hello Amelie, I don't have an answer to your question, but I just wanted to point out this page I noticed recently ( http://hlplab.wordpress.com/2009/05/07/multinomial-random-effects-models-in-r/), which might be helpful. I'm also interested in figuring out how to do a multinomial glmm, so if you find out anything I'd be happy to hear more about it! Based on what I've found so
