how does one apply Western Electric / AT&T rules to R plots?
I have searched for info on how to apply the Western Electric rules for
process control, to data and plots I have in R, but I have not been able
to learn how.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Asterisk to switch on electric heaters remotely?
Hello
I'm sure someone has already tried this: I use a couple of electric
heaters to heat my office.
I'd like to somehow connect them to Asterisk so that I could switch
them on remotely by either calling the IVR or sending an e-mail to the
Asterisk host, so that the room is warm when I get to the office :-)
Any information appreciated.
Thank you.

I added my user to a group last week, and now the user isn't in the group
Hello everyone,
I added my user account to a group called "www-pub" for easier
manipulations on web files on my server. And today I found that my account
was not in the group "www-pub" any longer.....
What I did to add my account to the group is like "sudo usermod -a -G
www-pub myaccount". Is there anything wrong?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Sincerely,
Xuwen

further to my last email
.. the round function seems to get round it (excuse the pun):
> round(gamma(21)/(gamma(6)*gamma(16))) == round(choose(20,5))
[1] TRUE
So I presume the problem is related to gamma being a real function.
However, I'm still not sure why there's a break from TRUE to FALSE for
certain values. Any comments would be appreciated!

[LLVMdev] Builds failing on lldb with the following for well over a week on a new build folder
Looks like your lldb is being compiled in C++11 mode and your llvm
wasn't perhaps?

R: "New" (i.e., posted last week) Learning Puppet chapters
Imho, should be intesting some idea on the integration of puppet in large corporation, the possible workflow, the separation of duty. For example using something as gitolite, the integration with quality control of some sort, the reporting. I have read something in pro puppet : i am sorry but most of that is discussed there in this area is very basic. Best regards

Broadvoice's changes last week broke call forwarding
Like everyone else who used asterisk with broadvoice, my outgoing calls
died last week. I made the appropriate changes, and now basic incoming
and outgoing calls are working. However, I have a few call-forwarding
rules that are no longer working. It's certainly no coincidence. I can
dial to all these number directly, but the problem only appears when
there is an incoming broadvoice call, and I

Re: NO$Zoomer crashes (worked last week)
Just upgraded my system to the new Ubuntu (12.04b2). No$Zoomer seems not to work with Wine 1.4 (from the vanilla Ubuntu) nor 1.5 (from the PPA).
Crash gives me this bug trace:

following up on infinite email server loop
just to add to ted's explanation in case it helps to fix the email
server problem: below are the two Recipients and one of the two is
always contained in the repeated emails that I'm receiving. Also, of
course i don't mean to claim that the names contained in below are
doing anything to cause the problem . VEC Operator is just an example.
There are 3 or 4 others that repeat
