Problem authenticating iPod Touch
Given the (slightly edited) config info below, iPod Touch users are
unable to connect, leaving the following message in the log file:
dovecot: Jul 23 10:00:40 Info: imap-login: Disconnected (auth failed, 0
attempts): rip=1.2.3.4, lip=5.6.7.8, TLS handshaking: Disconnected
Even with maximum logging on, no other error messages seem related to
this problem.
Am I missing something simple I

How to Put Movies on an iPod
How to put movies on an iPod is always a problem that most iPod users are confused about. There are many tools can help you to convert video on iPod, such as avi iPod Converter for Mac,
Mpeg 4 iPod Converter, 3gp converter for iPod and so on. Those tools can help you to put avi, wmv, 3gp, Mpeg on iPod easily. This is the easiest way to put movies on an iPod. You can also put movies from one iPod

Complete set of tools for Icecast
We are switching from Windows Media to Icecast. I want to get as close
to open source as possible.
That means that I need the following open-source items:
Player for Windows (not Winamp if possible - it's now owned by AOL.)
Player for Mac
Player for Linux
We will also be podcasting, so that means our encoding needs to be
compatible with the Apple iPod. Here's what it supports: MP3

gccfss-4.2.0 fixincludes headers out of date, breaking dtrace SDT
Hi all,
(CC''ing dtrace-discuss as an FYI+workaround)
I''m using dtrace -h to define provider probes for my application, and it wraps the resulting probe provider definitions in an #if _DTRACE_VERSION. Everything works fine for cc/CC, but gcc/g++ (gccfss v4.2.0) doesn''t seem to define it and the provider call macros expand to nothing instead.
A diff shows that gcc uses

What has been swapped out?
I have a SunRay server that I am looking at to determine some sizing requirements in my department. The machine has 16G of ram and 10G of swap. Currently, I have about 4G of swap used. I am wondering if dtrace/mdb can be used to find out what lwp/processes have been swapped out?
Any hints?

? has mib:::udp[In/Out]Datagrams been superceded by mib:::udpHC[In/Out]Datagrams
Hi,
Looking at some udp stuff on snv_57, and I noticed that
mib:::udpInDatagrams no longer exists, has this been superceded by
mib:::udpHCInDatagrams?
From my understanding they represent the same counter, but I''m asking
in case this is a bug. I noticed that there is still a reference to
udpInDatagrams in the DTrace testsuite.

How to print out float/double arguments from arg0, arg1, ...?
I want to print out arguments of float and double type, such as from sin(),
cos(), etc. By trial and error, I came up following macros.
union {
double d64;
float f32[2];
int64_t s64;
int32_t s32[2];
} VALUE;
#define PRINT_F32_sparc(val) \

getting hex out of ints
I have a probe:
pid111::myfunc:entry
{
self->arg = arg0;
}
pid111::myfunc:return
/self->arg/
{
@[self->arg] = quantize();
}
works great, but i''d like arg0 to be printed in hex. I''ve tried numerous approaches to do this but i''ve hit a wall every time. I''ve tried:
1) self->arg = sprintf(arg0);
no, cuz dtrace has no sprintf
2) self->arg

[Fwd: Zeroing out non integers]
Guys,
sorry for the reposting, but I''ve got some of
suggestions in private all of them assuming that
I was talking about general purpose C++ programming.
This is all within the DTrace framework, and it still
seems to be a problem for me. I can combat it with
increasing the dynvarsize but that doesn''t seem to
be too attractive.
Any hints will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,

ZFS-0313 and Build 36
I happened to remember seeing "ZFS-0313" during a ZFS demo while
using iPods as storage devices. As innovation would have it, we''d though of sing 2GB USB sticks as well as the iPod 60GB drives just for a mini SAN-type ZFS pool.
Seems a lot of things are set for B36, yet we saw the demo on an older build (33?). Comments were passed back on if we''d get ZFS-final by

Finding out if DNS name is served from cache
I''m new to Dtrace and would like to know if I could use it to show me ALL DNS queries that are served from cache versus the DNS server. Thanks in advance for your help.

Does this compete with iPOD
I was saying before that I believe that the iPOD is a wonderful, but is
over-hyped, over-priced and over-marketed. I also believe that it is a unit
that is commited to control the market place, support iTUNES (for mediocre
quality downloads) and not support open source products like oog vorbis.
This look like and interesting unit that supports Windows and Mac and there
is NO software to install

Dtrace Snooping
Dear dtrace Experts,
I have seen some dtrace utilities like opensnoop and execsnoop etc.
My interest is to write a simple script that can snoop the files which
uses the 3 syscalls like open,create,unlink.
I have gone through dtrace oneliners that can do the same :
dtrace -n ''syscall::open*:entry { printf("%s %s",execname,copyinstr(arg0));}''
dtrace -n

more friendly "dtrace --actions" , "dtrace --aggregations", "dtrace --varib
To remember all dtrace actions, aggregations and variables is a headache, even worse, they are not include in dtrace(1M) now.
So here is a chance to have a CLI RFE -
to have something like "dtrace --actions", which will list all actions, like this page:
http://developers.sun.com/solaris/articles/dtrace_quickref/dtrace_functions.html
"dtrace --aggregations", lists all
