FreeBSD 7.0-RC3 (for amd64/i386 only) Available
We're doing a "mini-RC3" to encourage testing of the Highpoint driver
(hptrr) backout. Testing of 7.0-RC2 showed there were problems with the
driver update done between RC1 and RC2.
Because it's a "mini-RC" targetted at testing of one particular thing we
have not bothered with setting up FreeBSD Update. You can use the
normal cvsup-and-build method of doing an update

Upcoming ABI Breakage in RELENG_7
Normally the FreeBSD Project tries very hard to avoid ABI breakage in
"Stable Branches". However occasionally the fix for a bug can not be
implemented without ABI breakage, and it is decided that the fix
warrants the impact of the ABI breakage. We have one of those
situations coming along for RELENG_7 (what will become FreeBSD 7.1).
The ABI breakage should only impact kernel modules

Hi,
On an 8.2 box, I run
freebsd-update -r 8.3-RELEASE upgrade

[simon@FreeBSD.org: cvs commit: src/crypto/openssl/ssl d1_both.c dtls1.h ssl.h ssl_err.c]
Hey,
RELENG_7 isn't -STABLE yet, so the issue mention in the commit mail
beolow will not get a Security Advisory. This only affects
applications using DTLS, and I doubt there are many of those, but
users should still upgrade to get this fix, just in case.
See the OpenSSL advisory for some more details:

sudo + pam_lastlog causes user to appear logged out in logs.
Hi, this was originally reported on ports@. [1] Someone noticed that
after after running sudo their session disappeared when running `w`
afterwards. I've done a little experimenting and this is caused when
pam_lastlog.so is included in sudo's pam file. This results in the user
still being logged in though according to the system logs the user has
logged out. Here's an example:
