dovecot: config: Error: BUG: Config client connection sent too much data
Hello,
Today I started noticing a very odd Dovecot error in the mail logs
across 2 replicated Dovecot hosts via dsync. I have searched the Dovecot
archives, Google, back tracked, downgraded Dovecot to earlier versions
from earlier this year and ruled everything out I could think of to no
avail. There really are not any helpful reports with what I am
specifically seeing. The strange thing is only

Enquiry on Vrtest
Hi there,
I am currently working on my dissertation which is about testing the
martingale hypothesis in the stock market using a methodology involving a
range of variance ratio tests and multiple variance ratio tests. I contacted
the author of a reference paper and I was told that the tests can be
conducted using R programming language. Although I have gone through the
theoretical background of

Updated Dovecot 2.3.0 now getting 2 strange log errors
I did some more digging around and found this is reproducible on
multiple hosts running the same version of Dovecot/Pigeonhole/Postfix.
The problem resurfaces on any host to an account with enabled
Vacation/OOO response. The Vacation/OOO reply filter was created in
Roundcubemail, but has been fine for years. One thing to note is in
Dovecot 2.3.0 I did enable UTF8, but even if I disable UTF8

issue with "strange" characters (locale settings)
WinXP-x32, R-21.13.0
Dear list,
I have a problem that (I think) relates to the interaction between Windows
and R.
I am trying to scrape a table with data on the Hawai'ian Islands, This is my
code:
library(XML)
u <- "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaii"
tables <- readHTMLTable(u)
Islands <- tables[[5]]
The output is (first set of columns):

dovecot: config: Error: BUG: Config client connection sent too much data
Did some additional testing with these results.
* Configured a new Dovecot host (copied over existing config from 1 of
the replicated hosts.
* Verified permissions on new host
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Aug 26 00:05 /etc/dovecot/
drwxr-xr-x 5 root dovecot 800 Aug 26 02:50 /var/run/dovecot/
Made sure address matches new host:

user = vmail

Sorry, but always the docs are right and the implementation wrong.
That's an axiom of professional computer programming (so I am told
by several ex-professional computer programmers.)

Updating Rcpp package when it is claimed by dplyr
Your last statement is extremely unlikely to be true. The dplyr package should not be present in a vanilla environment, so there should be no such conflict.

Claimed Zero Day exploit in Samba.
Claimed Zero Day exploit in Samba.
A user named "kcopedarookie" posted what they claim to
be a video of a zero-day exploit in Samba on youtube
yesterday here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN50RtZ2N74&aia=true
The video shows modifications to smbclient allowing
/etc/passwd to be downloaded from a remote server.
The issue is actually a default insecure configuration
in Samba.

Updating Rcpp package when it is claimed by dplyr
When i tried to install the hunspell package, I got this error message:
Error: package ?Rcpp? 0.12.3 was found, but >= 0.12.12 is required by ?hunspell?
So I set about installing a new version of Rcpp but I get this message:
Error in unloadNamespace(pkg_name) :
namespace ?Rcpp? is imported by ?dplyr? so cannot be unloaded
How does one get around that? I tried installing Rcpp in a
