gsDesign Pocock & OBF boundary
Still failed.
The first secret is in your email program settings, to use Plain Text format (at least for emails you send to this mailing list).
The second secret tool to use is the reprex package to let you verify that your code example will do on our computers what it is doing on your computer before you send it to us. That will also involve giving us some sample data or referencing some data

Hi,
I am learning to use your gsDesign package!?I have a question about Pocock and OBF boundary. As far as Iunderstand, these 2 boundaries require equal spacing between interim analyses(maybe this is not correct?). But I can still use gsDesign to run an analysisbased on unequal spacing:?gsDesign(k=2,test.type=2,timing=c(0.75,1),alpha=0.05,sfu='Pocock')Symmetrictwo-sided group sequential

Sorry for messed up text. Here it goes again:
I am learning to use the gsDesign package.
I have a question about Pocock and OBF boundary. As far as I can understand, these 2 boundaries require equal spacing between interim analyses (maybe this is not correct?). But looks like I can still use gsDesign to run an analysis based on unequal spacing:?

gsDesign
I'm trying to use gsDesign for a noninferiority trial with binary
endpoint. Did anyone know how to specify the trial with different sample
sizes for two treatment groups? Thanks in advance!

SPLUS Seqtrial vs. R Packages for sequential clinical trials designs
Hello Everyone,
I’m a SAS user who has recently become interested in sequential clinical trials designs. I’ve discovered that the SAS based approaches for these designs are either too costly or are “experimental.” So now I’m looking for alternative software. Two programs that seem promising are SPLUS Seqtrial and R.
I recently obtained a 30 day trial for the SPLUS Seqtrial add-on and have

Multiple endpoint (possibly group sequential) sample size calculation
Hello everyone,
I need to do a sample size calculation. The study two arms and two endpoints. The two arms are two different cancer drugs and the two endpoints reflect efficacy (based on progression free survival) and toxicity.
Until now, I have been trying to understand this in terms of a one-arm design, where the acceptable rate of efficacy might be 0.40, the unacceptable rate of efficacy

simtrial: Clinical Trial Simulation
Dear all,
I am happy to announce that {simtrial} is now on CRAN (https://cran.r-project.org/package=simtrial). simtrial is a fast and extensible clinical trial simulation framework for time-to-event endpoints.
This release brings a new tabular data processing engine powered by data.table for 3x to 5x faster simulations, a new parallelization adaptor with %dofuture%, a refreshed API that aligns

Non-inferiority log-rank test
Hi Group,
I'm looking for a method to calculate sample size for a
non-inferiority survival analysis.
Initially I've used cpower() of Hmisc, switching the roles of type-I
and type-II errors, as cpower() assumes no treatment difference as the
null hypothesis.
Now, I would like to introduce event rate difference under the
null-hypothesis, and calculate sample size accordingly. Any ideas?

Summary : Whitehead's group sequential procedures
Dear List,
I recently asked about any R implementations of Whitehead's methods for
sequential clinical trials. Here's the summary of answers so far :
1) There is no R public implementation of those methods
2) There exists an interest for such a package, which does things quite
different from Lan-deMets paradigm (shortly : Whitehead's methods allows
for unplanned interim analyses

R-help Digest, Vol 250, Issue 13
Kevin,
Maybe also look at what air quality monitoring is being done in area.

Depends what and how near, but might be something relevant there?

samba-3.6.0 .spec anad patches for SRPM building for RHEL 5 and 6 at https://github.com/nkadel/samba-3.6.0-srpm
For folks who want samba-3.6.0 for RHEL 5 or 6, and would prefer to
have RHEL compatible layouts rather than the somewhat different
layouts of the packages at
http://ftp.samba.org/pub/samba/Binary_Packages/, I've published some
.spec files and patches at
https://github.com/nkadel/samba-3.6.0-srpm
I'm happy to walk through how to build these with "mock" to get very

unicorn 3.6.0 release soon
Mainly small fixes, improvements, and workarounds for fork() issues
with pseudo-random number generators shipped with Ruby (Kernel#rand,
OpenSSL::Random (used by SecureRandom and also by Rails).
If there are any other fixes/improvements that could be useful let us
know. I think this is nearing the end of the line for the 3.x series
which will then go into maintenance mode. I''m looking

Samba 3.6.0 and Windows7 Client
Hello,
I am currently trying to replace a 2003 AD Server with LDAP backed
Samba3 acting as a PDC.
Two days ago, Windows7 clients (that are on a different subnet) than the
samba server were working well and I thought my understanding advances.
Then, I started to learn how to integrate printers and suddenly I
noticed that the Windows7 clients stopped working -- even with the
working smb.conf that

3.6.0: smbclient can't access a NT4 share
Hi,
I upgraded to 3.6.0, but since that time, I can't connect to a share on a NT4
Wks host any more:
# /usr/bin/smbclient //molek-04/lightcycler -U administrator
protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT
I thought it could be something with 'client ntlmv2 auth", what is 'yes' since
that version. But even if I switch it to 'no' it's the same.

samba 3.6.0 compile error --enable-external-libtdb=yes (works for samba-3.5.11)
Hello
I'm trying to compile samba-3.6.0 on a RHEL6 server (relevant options below):
--with-libtalloc=no \
--enable-external-libtalloc=yes \
--with-libtdb=no
--enable-external-libtdb=yes
This does not work, I get an error "Unable to find libtdb". However:
libtdb-devel-1.2.1-3.el6.i686
libtdb-1.2.1-3.el6.i686
have been installed.
This works fine when I try to
