Timer ISR: Timer went backwards [NetBSD 3.1 / Xen 2.0.7]
I''m using a NetBSD 3.1 dom0 with Xen 2.0.7 (so far as I know, the latest supported combination for the NetBSD platform). Linux domUs have their logs fill with messages like this: May 8 02:01:39 debian kernel: Timer ISR: Time went backwards: -316000 131542680000000 9684000 131542690000000 May 8 02:01:39 debian kernel: Timer ISR: Time went backwards: -277000 131542680000000 9723000

[PATCH 4/4] Add freebsd and netbsd distros
Prior to this commit the distro for a FreeBSD or a NetBSD system, in conjuction to what happened for OpenBSD, was shown as 'unknown'. *BSDs are complete OSes, not a kernel like Linux, but theoritically you could have FreeBSD as ostype and PC-BSD as distro. Samba 4.1.7 Compile on NetBSD/amd64 - 6.1.4
I have a brand new NetBSD machine I am building to replace an existing one that is retiring. The current server runs an old version of Samba and I would like to upgrade this machine to something newer. The machine has basic NetBSD on it and that is about it (ie. very little if any customization to the out of the box configuration). I know NetBSD is probably not a mainstream platform for your

NetBSD XEN port
I''m not on XEN devel, nor the Netbsd devel lists, so I''d appreciate it if someone can forward this to the appropriate place. On Netbsd 5.1, if you turn off DDB in the kernel config file, XEN domain0 will not build due to an unresolved symbol, cpu_Debugger. The fix is pretty trivial: (sorry, I didn''t include a diff) on line 925 of sys/arch/amd64/amd64/locore.S, change

Hi No 1st hand experience, just passing the information... If some of you are hosting NetBSD on Xenserver, that might impact: http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-xen/2017/10/23/msg009097.html and the work around listed in http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-xen/2017/10/23/msg009098.html "I guess this is the patch from XSA-240, you need to boot with pv-linear-pt=true on the Xen command

netbsd client can mount zfs snapshot dir but it never updates
My Solaris 10 box is exporting a ZFS filesystem over NFS. I''m accessing the data with a NetBSD 3.1 client, which only supports NFS 3. Everything works except when I look at the .zfs/snapshot directory. The first time I list out the .zfs/snapshot directory, I get a correct listing of the contents. An hour later, when a snapshot has been deleted and a new one created, I still see the

[PATCHES] NetBSD support, authentication buffer size
Hi Here are a few unintegrated patches, just tested against 2.2rc7: 1) NetBSD's getmntinfo uses struct statvfs while other BSD use struct statfs http://ftp.espci.fr/shadow/manu/patch-ak 2) NetBSD 5.x net_getunixcred() support. Build on NetBSD, but not tested (I am testing on NetBSD 6.0): http://ftp.espci.fr/shadow/manu/patch-src_lib_net.c 3) Increase authentication buffer size so that it

[agc@NetBSD.org: CVS commit: src/crypto/external/bsd/openssh/dist]
Hi, I applied the following minor diff to preserve the value of the extern variable across calls to process_sign_request2() in ssh-agent.c. fixes for quota support on NetBSD
Hi! dovecot-2.2.13 already has quota support for NetBSD, but it's buggy. The attached patches by Manuel Bouyer <bouyer at NetBSD.org> fix the issues. There is one thing that's not nice in them: one include is now for "/usr/include/quota.h" since dovecot comes with its own file "quota.h" which is earlier in the search path. Perhaps dovecot's copy can be
