Gluster volume not mounted
The mount log file of the volume would help in debugging the actual cause. Gluster volume not mounted
Good morning Gluster users, I'm very new to the Gluster file system. My apologies if this is not the correct way to seek assistance. However, I would appreciate some insight into understanding the issue I have. I have three nodes running two volumes, engine and data. The third node is the arbiter on both volumes. Both volumes were operation fine but one of the volumes, data, no longer

Gluster very poor performance when copying small files (1x (2+1) = 3, SSD)

Gluster very poor performance when copying small files (1x (2+1) = 3, SSD)
Hi, I've done some similar tests and experience similar performance issues (see my 'gluster for home directories?' thread on the list). If I read your mail correctly, you are comparing an NFS mount of the brick disk against a gluster mount (using the fuse client)? Which options do you have set on the NFS export (sync or async)? >From my tests, I concluded that the issue was not

Gluster very poor performance when copying small files (1x (2+1) = 3, SSD)
Howdy all, We're experiencing terrible small file performance when copying or moving files on gluster clients. In the example below, Gluster is taking 6mins~ to copy 128MB / 21,000 files sideways on a client, doing the same thing on NFS (which I know is a totally different solution etc. etc.) takes approximately 10-15 seconds(!). Any advice for tuning the volume or XFS settings would be

Gluster very poor performance when copying small files (1x (2+1) = 3, SSD)
Hi, As I posted in my previous emails - glusterfs can never match NFS (especially async one) performance of small files/latency. That's given by the design. Nothing you can do about it. Maquerading through IPSECed wireless dropping packets selectively?
Hello, I''m stuck IPSECing my wireless network at home and would appreciate any comments. I appologize in advance if I''m wasting your time with trivia - I''m not a professional and staring at the problem for days from various angles hasn''t done me any good ... How to auto-start and -stop xVM domains?
I''m trying to figure out what the CURRENT requirements are for configuring the xVM domains to start at boot-time and stop on shutdown. The closest to current I''ve seen is http://opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/docs/xVM_lowres.pdf which does not address the problem, and http://opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/docs/xvm-ktde-20070917.pdf which states: *

dmesg shows Intel Virt., lsmod shows kvm_intel; "Host does not [have] virt. options"
Hello, I've tried over at IRC and it appears the solution to this problem may not be obvious. I'm working with a Centos7 box on HP ProLiant 380p hardware. The BIOS is a bit outdated, but both Intel Virtualization Options and VT-d are present and enabled in the firmware. Some relevant command outputs below: -bash-4.2$ dmesg | grep Virtualization [ 1.299295] DMAR: Intel(R)

"getent group" shows AD groups; "getent passwd" only shows local users
I had winbind configured so that it could fetch users from AD. Everything was working properly, but something happened in the past couple of days (no change in the Samba config) I'm not able to diagnose. "getent group" enumerates groups, "getent passwd" doesn't. "wbinfo -g" returns groups, whereas I get this error when trying to get users: # wbinfo -u

Pending should_receive shows as FIXED
I have a mock should_receive expectation wrapped in a "pending" block, and it appears as being fixed when the specs are run, when in reality it is not. Anyone else experience this behavior? I''m assuming this is because the mock waits until the "it" block completion to determine expectations rather than its enclosing "pending" block. Steve

Usb disk no longer shows in GUI
I have a USB disk and when I turned it on in the past, it's icon would appear on my GUI Desktop. Now it is no longer visible. In terminal mode, if I do a cd to /media/usbdisk, all of my data is there. What am I missing here? Todd -- Ariste Software 2200 D Street Ext Petaluma, CA 94952 (707) 773-4523

Hello! I''m a beginner of rails. I made a simple test project with rails 1.1.2 and ruby 1.8.2 on Windows XP. DB is SQLServer 7.0. I''m connecting the server thru ODBC. I created a table named "users" with about 10 columns. I inserted 1000 sample records. I created a scaffold for user model and login controller for it using the script. Everything''s fine
