Making Driver Disks
List, I have attempted to make my own megaraid driver disk for a Dell PowerEdge 2300. The procedure I'm using is detailed at the end of this message. In short, I followed samples that I collected after Googling around. The problem I face is that the CentOS 4 installer can't seem to mount the driver disk after I have created it. It gives no information other than, "Cannot

Understanding controllers
You''ll have to forgive me ... I''ve been toying with rails for about a week and although I don''t feel completely lost there''s still a lot that I don''t understand. Here goes. Assume I have a controller called admin in app/controllers as well as three model classes in app/models: product, category, warehouse. How exactly do I use the admin controller to

slow file creation
Hi all, I'm troubleshooting an ocfs2 performance problem where creating files in a directory containing ~180k files is taking significant time to complete. Sometimes creating an empty file will take >100 seconds to complete. This is a three node cluster. I'm currently running OCFS2 1.2.3-1. Are there any changes in a recent version that may address this issue? What should I look

Hi guys, what distribution do you recommend, if you want to run producive systems on it. i got a cluster with two sles10sp2 nodes - but i''m not that satisfied. The migration of my windows-systems are not working in an acceptable way and the pv-drivers for win of suse are not a speed boost at all. Well I could spend big money for Xen Enterprise or VirtualIron - but - do I really have to

slow R start up
Hi, I want to use R within a unix shell script where I repeatedly open and close R (doing some computation within R whilst it is open). i.e. something like #!/bin/sh R --vanilla << EOF # some R commands EOF # some unix commands R --vanilla << EOF # some R commands EOF # some unix commands ...etc the problem is that since I open and close R many times, the shell script takes a long

CentOS on Fujitsu Hardware
Alle, I was wondering if anyone is using 4.X on any Fujitsu Primergy hardware and what type of experience they've had. I know that FJ provides separate drivers for all the supported hardware that are supposed to be RHEL4.X compatible, but I have my doubts. Best Regards, Camron Best Regards, Camron -- Camron W.
