Hi,
Am I hitting some limit in match? Consider the following example:

R-alpha: model.matrix misbehaves on two-sided formulas
I am using R for a graduate class on linear models that I teach. I
sent the class a sample transcript of explicit construction of the
model matrix and use of the QR decomposition. One of the members of
the class picked up on the fact that the model matrix was not what I
advertised that it should be when a two-sided formula is used. A
one-sided formula works properly. For example,

Once again in search of memory
Hello any R user,
Working on R 1.8.1 or R 1.9 on Windows, 256 Mb RAM.
I am trying to debug/correct/speedup the execution of one of our student's
program. Basically, we perform simulations.
R is launched with high memory-limits.
One execution of the program requires nearly 200 Mbs and is OK the first
time. Then, launching it again does strange things: seen from Windows
manager, the RAM

hi Michael,
am sorry for the incomplete reply .

body of non-visible function
Hello,
Is there any possibility in R to see the body of the non-visible
function, for
example princomp?
If I do :
> methods(princomp)
so, I get that princomp.default and princomp.formula are non-visible
functions and
body(princomp.default) doesnt show it.
In particular, I guess I have a very nave question
Id like to see how scores calculation is implemented in the function
princomp.

Tukey post hoc comparison (glht?) after 3factorial mixed model (lmer)
Hello, dear R-community.
This is a question about TukeyHSD between factor combinations of a Three-Way
ANOVA, which is - since it is a multi measure ANOVA - not a simple ANOVA but
a Generalised Linear Mixed Model (GLMM), calculated with "lmer".

Estimating IRT models by using nlme() function
Hi,
I have a question about estimating IRT models by using nlme, not just rasch
model, but also other models.
