Ms Exchange vs dovecot
Hi, sorry for top post but short answer is ,there is no exchange without outlook, that is what makes exchange a good "groupware solution", on windows only. So compare it to dovecot makes only small sense..... Am 12.05.20 um 13:24 schrieb Michael Hirmke: > Hi Marc, > > >> How did you decide for the Baikal? How did you decide for the Baikal? I have been testing a long time ago with this apple ccs calendarserver, but it did/does not feel right. I think there were tasks also in this one, but I am not sure anymore. I had argument with the developers that they should not enforce openssl building, they did not get that they are developers and not sysadmins and should just do development. Their

I was wondering about the sieve rules, because I thought they were executed during mail delivery in the lmtp process. You can also 'guess' this a bit from syntax of the rules or the single file they are stored in. Thus if you 'drag' messages between folders, they are not executed. Off topic: I know Exchange is a different solution. What I think is stupid, is that they store

azure ad provisioning | password hashes sync
Hi, We are (again) looking at syncing our samba AD to the azure AD cloud. I installed a win2016 server domain member server and set it up for syncing, including password hashes, so users can login azure/O365 using their on-prem passwords. We're using microsoft's latest tech: the new "Azure AD Connect cloud provisioning". We made sure to check "password hash sync".

Azure AD sync + Samba4 DC
Hello esteemed members of the list, i have a Samba 4.3.0 AD domain and want to synchronize accounts and password from my on premise AD to an Azure AD using Azure AD sync on a member server. Unfortunately accounts and groups are migrated correctly but not passwords. Did anyone ever managed to sync passwords from a Samba AD to an Azure AD? Thanks.

Azure AD Connect and replication issues / WORKAROUND
hello all just to summarize this topic for anybody else. after some time spent with tshooting there seems is a sufficient workaround for this issue: disable "sync of password hashes" option within Azure AD connect tool. with disabling this option all three issues (CPU/Bandwidth utilization/replication logs) are gone! seems that for now the only working option for samba and Azure

New CRAN package announcement: azlogr
I am excited to announce that `azlogr` is published on CRAN! This package?enables logging in 'R' by extending the functionality of 'logger' package. There is an option to add additional custom meta-data while logging, which can sometimes be helpful.?Logging messages are displayed on console and optionally they are sent to 'Azure Log Analytics' workspace in real-time. Azure AD Connect and replication issues
hello mj we are school - we are syncing approx 500 users and several groups. we use pass-through authentication because AAD authentication was not working (that time we used samba 4.8.12, but since moving to 4.12 I didnt tested this), we have (as recommended) one AAD connector plus two authentication agents deployed in our environment. the thing what I dont understand is the amount of data

azure AD Connect | passwords not syncing
Microsoft says: "We synchronize the password hashes" Does a samba DC have similar password hashes as a (real) windows DC? Can we somehow allow the AD Connect to access that hash? It would be SO disappointing if we really need all kinds of extra tools to make this work. :-( And Simon, would you be willing to share a bit more on your https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-python

For my script : https://github.com/sfonteneau/script_modify_password_googleapps_and_office365 Azure AD: https://github.com/sfonteneau/script_modify_password_googleapps_and_office365/blob/master/script/office/officepassword.py Another idea: AD refuses to change a password on a clear connection. It may be the same for the consultation of the hash? Have you set up lts or ldaps with ad ? The

Hi, Meanwhile we have discovered this bug report: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10635 where Andrew is asking to test again with modern versions as a first step towards a solution. So I will start upgrading our DCs to latest in de coming period, to see if that helps anything. Strange also that the reporter of bug 10635 is seeing all kinds of error messages logged in azure, and
