OT - Intel IPP 5.3
Hello, For education purpose, I would like to add G729 support to an Asterisk 1.4.19.1 system. I've read this : http://www.readytechnology.co.uk/open/ipp-codecs-g729-g723.1/ but when downloading Intel IPP software, it appears that latest IPP version is 5.3. As installation instructions here ( http://www.readytechnology.co.uk/open/ipp-codecs-g729-g723.1/doc-svn8.txt) relates to Intel IPP

Samba vs IPP printing
Not including cases of unsupported clients for IPP printing (such as Windows NT) are there any reasons/caveats for installations running CUPS to not move over to IPP printing? Are there any features or benefits to Windows/Samba printing for Windows clients that make it superior compared to IPP?

Hi, ALL: I install IPP(l_ipp_ia32_itanium_p_4_1_2.tar) and download the speech codeing (l_ipp-sample-speech-coding_p_4.1.008.tgz) then patch it (g729-041103.diff). My CPU is Centaur VIA Nehemiah with 998.715 MHz processor not INTEL CPU. I choose PIII as its CPU type when I modify Makefile under "G729-float". # For PIII OPTIMIZE= -O6 -mcpu=pentium3 -march=pentium3 -ffast-math

How to prevent logging of some entries in CDR
Hi In order to add several phones to a single extension number, I have replaced entries like: exten => 100,1,Dial(SIP/sipphone100,20,Tr) into: exten => 100,1,Dial(Local/100 at phones,20,Tr) [phones] exten => XXX,1,Dial(SIP.sipphone${EXTEN}) etc This works great. [OT] Lexmark T632 info sought
We have a bunch of old Lexmark T63x printers connected to our LAN. These are accessed via IPP from our CentOS hosts and via TCP for our MicroSoft work stations. Both connections have worked without problems for years. This past week one of the T632s was replaced and since that time we cannot get either IPP or TCP to work with it from our CentOS hosts. It continues to work for the Windows
