Fatal: imap-login: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 4): Operation not permitted
Hello, I'am following the beginning tutorial on the Wiki, but actually, I can't even start the server correctly so far. The imap-login child dies immediately. What I can guess from the log is that it tries some unpermietted operations on some files but I can't find out which files are concerned. Google is not my friend at all either on this matter. How can I know which files are

imap-login: Panic: epoll_ctl(add, 6) failed: Invalid argument
Hello, More problems (it seems that we won't be able to put our new servers in production). The problem now is that when we reach 1000 dovecot processes we have errors like: Jul 9 12:10:22 myotis31 dovecot: imap-login: Panic: epoll_ctl(add, 6) failed: Invalid argument Jul 9 12:10:22 myotis31 dovecot: imap-login: Fatal: master: service(imap-login): child 32251 killed with signal 6

dovecot-proxy with managesieve, director and backend dovecot imap
hi all, I've been tasked to add sieve/managesieve to an existing dovecot cluster running 2.1.7 on debian wheezy which is made up of 2 dovecot-proxy hosts as directors and some back end dovecot imap hosts all running the same version. My problem is that I thought to put the service on the director/proxy hosts since they wouldn't have too much load on it, but when I do I get the

Support TLS for pure remote doveadm commands
Dear all, A lot of doveadm commands (e.g. backup/sync, deduplicate, mailbox) support a `-S` (a.k.a `socket-path`) argument that allows to run the command remotely. Unfortunately, I think that there is a bug in the handling of the TLS configuration for this feature. After a bit of debugging, I think it's simply due to doveadm_mail_server_user_get_host

epoll_ctl: Operation not permitted
Hi, I am using wine-0.9.30 (self compiled) on a Debian 3.1 server. Wine is required for CUI-applications, so no X-Server is running. When I log in via ssh and start the application, wine is working fine. But whenever I try it from the webserver via php-script, wine doesn't start properly. It fills the errout with "epoll_ctl: Operation not permitted" unitl I send a SIGKILL to the

1.2.beta4: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 11): Bad file descriptor
Whenever dovecot is stopped while a dict process is running I see Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 11): Bad file descriptor in the error log. The following patch fixes this for me. I'm sure there is a better way though. --- dovecot-1.2.beta4/src/master/dict-process.c.orig 2009-03-27 16:44:59.000000000 +0100 +++ dovecot-1.2.beta4/src/master/dict-process.c 2009-03-27

v1.2.beta2: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor
Hi Timo, I'm playing with Dovecot v1.2.beta2 currently. When the dict process was started via deliver(?) and Dovecot is killed (kill $PID_OF_DOVECOT) after delivering only one message, it logs: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor If the dict process was not started or deliver has delivered more than one message, the error doesn't occur. I'm not using

epoll_ctl: Operation not permitted
Hi, I'm not exactly sure that this is caused by wine. But maybe someone have already met this. I have wine 20050628 setup on Mandriva Linux 10.2. I am seeing the stream of epoll_ctl: Operation not permitted in the .xsession-errors It take about a day to fill a 10G partition I think it is connected with audio card, so I switched off the audio system in wine (I don't need it anyway),

director's imap/pop3 login timeout
Hello, We have two (load balanced) director servers in front of 4 dovecot backend servers. Yesterday we had a problem at backend servers for some users (our SSO was down, so IMAP users couldn't authenticate) and this triggered a problem in director servers where almost nobody could open a new session. In our director's logs I could see errors like this: Mar 20 20:52:47 myotis41

Deleted / read mails show up as new on remote imap clients
Hi, I've one problem: Mails, which I already read or deleted via my IMAP client (Thunderbird) on the same machine running the server (it runs behind DynDNS on my local machine, thanks to http://mein.homelinux.com/wiki/mailserver/) show up again if I connect via IMAP from other client computers, i.e. my notebook (Thunderbird again). As you can see from the config below I have

panic when doveadm sieve put between multiple hosts
Dovecot version: 2.2.25 (7be1766) I?m looking into an issue we?re having with a new setup. We have one fronted host with two backend hosts, and we?re attempting to use doveadm to allow us to administer sieve on the frontend and have it replicated to the backend hosts. When I attempt to use doveadm sieve put on the frontend host, i get the following on the frontend host: frontend-machine $ cat

replication dropped imap flags
Hi list, I think, I found a bug in the replication setup, that drops (custom) flags like Thunderbird labels. I have set up a simple 2 node setup to reproduce and explain it: Host adove.mpi-klsb.mpg.de and bdove.mpi-klsb.mpg.de (doveconf -n attached) have dovecot-imapd (from repo.dovecot.org) installed on an ext4 filesystem. They only have one account "test" via /etc/dovecot/userdb

Configure replication in backup mode
Dovecot 2.2.27 (c0f36b0) I'm trying to configure dovecot to backup all my email to a secondary server using "dsync". I got it working in "sync" mode or two-way synchonization, that means whatever happens in one server gets replicated in the other. However, documentation also says that a one way synchronization is posible, yet, after spending a good amount of hours

[Bug ?] IMAP keywords are not preserved during mailbox conversion
IMAP keywords (Thunderbird Tags) are not preserved during Maildir to mdbox conversion. For mailbox conversion I am using the command: # doveadm -o mail_location=maildir:~/Maildir sync -u user at example.com mdbox:~/mdbox After conversion all Thunderbird Tags are lost. Is it a bug or expected behavior? -- Alexander -------------- next part -------------- # doveconf -n # 2.2.15:
