Slightly OT: Debian and CentOS multiboot: menu.lst problem
Hi,
I want to slowly migrate from Debian to CentOS, so I setup a multiboot
on my main machine. There's a Debian Etch install on /dev/hda, and GRUB
is also installed on the Debian side.
On /dev/hdb, I have CentOS 5. I fdisked the drive manually, then chose
manual partitioning during install. The setup for CentOS is:
hdb1 -> swap
hdb2 -> /boot, ext2
hdb3 -> / , ext3

I got thinking booting off a logical partition might not be allowed, so I
changed the LEAF/Bering logical partition to a primary, hda4. Then I ran
"syslinux d:" from a Win98SE DOS-box to (try to) initialize the
partition's boot record. And added this from a

help
High all,
In WinXP, I have created file "image.iso" using mkisofs, but unable to
postprocess with the "isohybrid".
I worked as follows:
cd F:\syslinux-4.05\utils
F:\syslinux-4.05\utils> isohybrid F:\image.iso
and received >'isohybrid' is not recognized as an internal or external
command,
operable program or batch file.
What next?
Thanks in advance.

HI all,
I had centos on a laptop (dual boot xp).
I am giving the laptop to another person so I removed centos.
Now when I reboot grub is confused...
I tried to manually enter
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
boot
This does boot into XP but how do I tell grub that this is the new rules and
do this everytime at boot.
Thanks,
Jerry

Dual booting centos 4.1 and Solaris 10 express build 15
I have been trying to multiboot centos 4.1 and the
current solaris express build 15. I have two hard
drive s, the first one ( hd0 ) devoted to CentOS 4.1
and windows xp (no problems). The second drive (hd1)
for Solaris 10 only. I tried to boot solaris from
CentOS grub and got the following error messages:

Announcing EXT2FS lib for syslinux
Here is the initial release:
git://github.com/donhiatt/Syslinux-EXT2FS-Library-port.git
I am very new to git so I hope I managed to get the repo setup properly.
The repo is branched from 'disklib' as I plan to use it for all disk
read/write access (I'm currently using modified gpllib/disk/* -- see
README).
Cheers,

75% - 80% Rebuild Complete
First I want to thank all of you who responded to me both on this list and
in the CentOS wiki. Your responses helped greatly!
I want to say that if you are running CentOS 5 and you do not have a
overriding reason to go to CentOS 6, stay where you are. It was so much
easier installing CentOS 6 on a new machine, migrating is next to
impossible.
Here's where I am today:

Aggregate?
Hello,
I have a data set with a grouping variable (TRIPID) and several other
variables. TRIPID is repeated in some areas and I would like to use a
function like aggregate to sum the variable UNITS according to TRIPID.
However I would also like to retain the other variables as they are in
the data set with the new summed TRIPID.
So what I have is something like this:
