Hi! Thank you very much for the great work and for the agility. I updated my two main DCs and it solved my problem, which was the connection from one server to another through SQL Server Management Studio using integrated login, now after the samba updater, the connection is working again. Thanks Michael for doing this, I've used your patch ( fix-unsupported-netr_LogonGetCapabilities-l2.patch ) to also update my RHEL8 packages for 4.17.9 ( [1] ). With this patch of yours and these rpms the trusted connection shows up as 'Good' as it was previously. As usual, if anyone's interested in providing feedback for these rpms, I'll gladly take it. oplocks, kernel oplocks, kernel share modes, .. - how it all works?
Hi! I'm trying to understand how various ways to grant a file lease to (windows) clients works. Especially in context when files are being modified locally on the linux filesystem. For example, there's this wording in man smb.conf: kernel share modes ... Kernel share modes provide a minimal level of interoperability with local UNIX processes and NFS operations by

Eg, current libssl in Debian is of version 3.0.11-1~deb12u1. You did not provide any other useful info. Two of the most important

FAQ is strongly not recommending to run wine as a root, but why is that? What should I do if I want to use FAR Manager (http://www.farmanager.com/) for system administration?

Updating OpenSSL from 1.x to 3 breaks kinit
Samba is built with the recommended heimdal kerberos. Samba version: 4.18.8 OpenSSL version: 3.0.11 The AD was created with samba 4.5.x (?) and updated continuously. I guess I need to update the old rc4 "secrets" somehow.... BR, Tibor Am 02.11.2023 um 16:51 schrieb Michael Tokarev via samba: > 02.11.2023 18:04, MATYAS, Tibor via samba: >> Dear all, >> >> updating

[LLVMdev] Converting documentation to rst
Thanks for doing this. I was planning on finishing these by this weekend. If you are planning on taking significantly longer than that I would appreciate if you just ping me in IRC (or email, but IRC is more lightweight) whenever you (or one of your colleagues) starts on a document, so that we can safely work concurrently. -- Sean Silva On Wed, Dec 5, 2012 at 7:07 AM, Dmitri Gribenko

Small inconsistencies in configure checks
Hi, JFYI. I am not sure it's worth reporting but, when building 2.5.5 for ALT I noticed small inconsistencies in configure output. 1. xapian-binding: checking for /usr/bin/rdoc... no checking for rdoc... /usr/bin/rdoc Looks curious but no problem since it's found anyway. 2. xapian-core when built with GCC: checking whether __builtin_add_overflow is declared... yes ...
