Module.symvers
I am going into: /usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-92.1.10.el5-x86_64 and doing a "make mrproper" attempting to rebuild the Modules.symvers file. As I added ALSA 1.0.17 to the current kernel. I am getting an error: make mrproper scripts/Makefile.clean:17: /usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-92.1.10.el5-x86_64/drivers/infiniband/hw/amso1100/Makefile: No such file or directory make[3]: *** No rule to

Illegal opp code
Hi, HP DL 385 G2. CentOS 5.1 Kernel 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5 I have a newly installed server that was running x. It told me there were updates to install. I accepted that all, except sysreport as I always seem to have problems installing. I rebooted, having set the default run level to 3. I then got a red screen with an "illegal OpCode" error message. I have used my CD to boot into rescue

PCI passthrough problems
Hello, I'm having a problem, I've seen other people with the same problem, but with USB. Some people solved this with the pciback.permissive option, but in my case it's ignored. I'm using CentOS 5.2 - 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5.centos.plusxen The error return from the console starting the domU is below. I've tried swiotlb=force, pciback.permissive like I said. My configs are:

VMWare Server doesn't like new CentOS installation?
I just got a nice, shiny new machine at work, a Core 2 Duo, on which I just finished installing CentOS 5.2 with a fair number of packages, SeaMonkey 1.1.10, Adobe Reader 8.0, Adobe Flash 9.0, mplayer, mplayerplug-in (both from rpmforge), and I think that was it. Then I went and got the latest VMWare Server, 1.0.7, from VMWare, pulled down their rpm, installed it, and ran vmware-config.pl, which

Weird CentOS 5.3 problem
I reimaged a compute node on our cluster with the latest 5.3 updates (we were previously running 5.2), but we kept the kernel at 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5 until I can find time to rebuild some of our kernel modules. After the image install finishes and the system reboots, the eth0 ethernet interface disappears. If I do an ifconfig ?a, I see what should be eth0, but it?s listed as __tmp2081258173.
