Bug#391606: xen-utils-common: doesn't ship referenced man pages
Hi, the package currently contains /usr/share/man/man1/xm.pod.1.gz /usr/share/man/man5/xmdomain.cfg.pod.5.gz which isn't exactly what we want. bye, Roland

[LLVMdev] pods
To my absolute dismay I found out that the latest llvm docs are in rst format. I tried a couple of rst to man converters and the results are pretty bad. rst2man sort of works but spits out a lot of errors and the man pages don't look very good. sphinx crashes and is really too heavy. pandoc, haskell, right. I'd like to plead with the forces that be to bring back the pods. Pods

[LLVMdev] [Cygwin] groff build error - semi solved
Turns out I did not have Perl installed and hence no pod2man command, so it was not groff after all. But 'true', what ever it does, does not seem to be working on Cygwin. true pod2man --release=1.5 --center="LLVM Command Guide" /usr/build/llvm/../../src/llvm-1.5/docs/CommandGuide/analyze.pod /usr/build/llvm/docs/CommandGuide/analyze.1 'true' seems to behaving like a

[LLVMdev] [Cygwin] groff build error - semi solved
Yeah, that's exactly right, Aaron. "true" is a command that simply returns with an exit status of 0 and ignores its arguments. When pod2man can't be found we define the variable that specifies its path as "true pod2man". This allows the command that should have been run to be shown while at the same time not interrupting the makefile with a failure. This is entirely

Use predictable date in POD-generated manpages
This is a minor issue that may break co-installability of i386/amd64 Debian packages: If the date in otherwise identical manpages differs across architectures, dpkg will refuse to install the two versions of the package together. See: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=680885 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=680886 This patch makes for reproducible outcomes.

Bug#391606: xen-utils-common: doesn't ship referenced man pages
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0+hg11624-1 Severity: normal Hi, the executable /usr/sbin/xm refers to the man pages xm(1) and xmdomain.cfg(5). As far as I can see, Debian doesn't ship the respective upstream man pages available at http://xensource.com/ . Since Debian packages should ship man pages for executables, it would be a good idea to include those. Thanks, bye, Roland --
