Send in your favorite CentOS slogan today
Hi everyone, The CentOS project is looking for more slogans that may end up on promotional material (eg media, flyers, posters or stickers). We already collected a few funny, ironic, sarcastic or even distasteful ones. Feel free to visit our Slogans wiki page for a good laugh or rude offenses and add your own slogan by sending them to this thread. See: http://wiki.centos.org/Promo/Slogans

Transform plot3d grafics in to executable files
Hello, I did some nice grafics using plot 3d and scatter3d. Is there a, hopefully not too complicated way, to transform these dynamic, three-dimensional and interactive grafics in a kind of executable file? I want to show and send them via e-mail to projekt partners who don`t use GNU R and who are not used to do programming. So the result should be quite comfortable to execute for them in

moving data and output?
Hello, I have a few questions now: 1. How can I move data the following way: I have 2 variables: one two 1 5 ^ 3 4 | 1 3 | 4 4 | Now I want to move the two one arround (sorry I don't know how to say that in english). That means: I want to move the first item at the end of my column and move the second at the first place, the third at the second, and so on. You can see it at

[LLVMdev] style guidelines
Probably this has come up before... but have we considered just adopting the Google style guidlines and maybe modifying it in some places? They have a nice script for c++ which will check for many things. http://google-styleguide.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/cppguide.xml http://google-styleguide.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/cpplint/cpplint.py

what line is labeled in persp?
Dear R-users, another question concerning a persp()-plot: What does it depend on which line is labeled as an axis? Some plots I've done look fine, but in one plot, a different line is labeled. I can't find out why, as I just copied the code. Two small *.ps-grafics can be downloaded on http://www.math.uni-bremen.de/~nina/grafic.html to illustrate my problem. Thanks for your help in

Google's R Style Guide
Perhaps most of you have already seen this? http://google-styleguide.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/google-r-style.html Comments/Critiques? Thanks, Esmail ps: Reminds me of PEP 8 for Python http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0008/ Maybe not that surprising since Python is also one of the main languages used by Google.

Highlighting trailing whitespaces on Phab?
So, I forwarded the request for highlighting trailing whitespaces to phabricator upstream (https://secure.phabricator.com/T11879), and upstream folks suggest we enable the Lint feature in Arcanist ( https://secure.phabricator.com/book/phabricator/article/arcanist_lint/). This will enforce the check when `arc diff` is run (reviewers wouldn't see the warnings though). There are two linters we

howto improve sharpeness of fonts in a jpg-image producedby R ?
My original question had the subject of making jpg-image files with the bitmap-function. Firstly I was told, that the problem was in my ghostscript-installation which is called by the bitmap-function - not in R itself. I got a lot of good suggestions (also off-list) about what problems in my ghostscript-installation might give some low-quality font-sharpeness in my jpg-grafics produced by
