Article for wiki consideration
I've recently documented simple use of a VServer with CentOS host and
guest. toracat@ said that it might be worthwhile putting on the wiki.
The present article is located at
http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/vserver.html
If it does get to the wiki, I would remove the fedora section and also
add a notice at the beginning of the article with dire warnings about
using a non-stock kernel.

laptop article on 4720z
I have a page I've done on the 4720z. It involves using 3rd party
packages. The original page, which covers several distributions, is at
http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/acer4720z.html
I would just use the laptop template, with a link to my page on it for
the webcam, as in works with 3rd party software, see <link to my page>
and wireless, works with 3rd party software, see

short vpnc article
Akemi-san has suggested that I turn the following post into a wiki
article.
(The article would be a bit better organized, since if one bothers to
follow the thread, you'll see that I found that one can use the pcf2vpnc
in Dag's rpm without worrying about having a plain text password.)

C6 compatible wireless printers?
Hi,
Any success stories with C6 and wireless printers? Or maybe horror stories
and what products to avoid?
I'm looking at some HPs on amazon right now, some quite cheap, ~ ?50, not
bad. Ideally they should have easy to refill cartridges.
Thanks.

I hope there is someone in Japan.
If we install Centos in Japanese, and then I ssh to it from an English

How to make the SSH prompt in Japanese?
Thank you.

There's not much to it. It's the remote desktop protocol that you use to
access Windows servers. On Windows you open port 3387 or allow RDP in some
other way. (I do almost no Windows, so I

The 7 rules listed in this URL seem utterly bizarre to me.
The first is "Don't use a palindrome"
which makes me wonder if the author knows the meaning of this word.
I suspect he/she thinks

Another Fedora decision
So, probably some of you, at least, follow Fedora, perhaps in part to see
what new desktop user oriented decision will make it into the next version
of RHEL/CentOS.
You may have noticed how if Fedora, by some odd scheme, deems your password
unworthy, you have to click Done two times.
So, the latest Ananconda takes this one step further. Passwords that the
system considers weak will no longer

Installing support for Chinese text in Centos 7
I have just done a minimal installation of Centos7 followed by X Windows and the Mate desktop on a workstation. Although the default language is English, I would like to be able to write Chinese text in various applications.
I seem to remember this was very easy to do in Centos 6 and Gnome: possibly only requiring only a simple 'yum groupinstall "Chinese Support"' after which I
