segmantation fault
Hi,
On a CentOS4 I've updated kdelibs and everything that up2date has
signaled me to, and now I get segmentation fault when running xmms
(installed from the Centos4 dvd) and also when running gmplayer which
is installed from DAG repository for EL4.
Is anyone in my position or it's just me? Do you know why?

Re: RESOLVED: Overloading error_message_on method in ActiveRecordHelper
Leaving the body of the method the same as the default still throws
the "stack level too deep" error. As a matter of fact, it only
disappears if I comment out the ''require'' in line 1.
As it turned out, it was the method definiton itself that caused
problems. Ruby doesn''t have keyword arguments, but I tried calling the

Work around for problems with error_message_on
Hey all
I was encountering problems with error_message_on in the fact that it
caused an exception when no object by that name had any errors (or did
not exsist) so i created this work around...

Wx::TextCtrl and wxMSW
Hey Alex,
Found a solution to the problem that was occuring with wxMSW and the
Wx::TextCtrl, have yet to verify that this will work in linux, but my little
trick to the matter, was simple, thanks to the things that are provided with
both Wx::TextCtrl, and Wx::Window classes.

error_message_on broken?
Hi,
in my app, using the error_message_on form helper like this:
<label for="user_name">User name:</label>
<%= error_message_on ''user'', :name %>
<%= f.text_field :name %>
generates the following error:
undefined method `errors'' for :user:Symbol
I am using edge revision 5813 and the simply_helpful plugin. Is there a
way to fix this?

ipf stopped working on 5.3
I've had ipf working on a few 5.3 servers for quite awhile. Not too long ago
some developers had to do some coding work and were coming from dynamic
IP's. I (reluctantly) opened up SSH to the world. Immediately I started
seeing the attacks where bots of some sort would try to break in with a
variety of different users.
So, I (thought) I closed it up again and told the developers to use a

Major Breakthrough?
Attached are patches to make the textctrl.rb sample work fully. Note
the new %directorargout typemap I added to fix wxWindows calling into
SWIG. I don''t know if this can fix all such problems or not. Let me
know what you think.
I also rubified the sample a little bit more. Also, note that I fix the
<< operator so the function can be called. I hope I did this right.

How do I blank or overwrite DVD-RW disks in CentOS 5?
I'm trying to use DVD-RW ("minus RW") disks in my LG GSA-4040B
drive. I can write a new disk just fine, but can't find any way to
blank or re-use a disk. When I run xcdroast and click on the "Blank
CD/DVD+-RW" button, I get "Error while blanking." Here is last part
of the dialog:

How to annotate lattice plots
I am creating a lattice plot with

which works, and gives me 48 plots, one for each GDP_ID.
But I would like to put the number of hours that each GDP lasted on the
relevant plot. This is given by the following table:
