SYSLINUX 3.10-pre19 -- definitely a release candidate
I just pushed out SYSLINUX 3.10-pre19. This version adds symlink
support for EXTLINUX. As part of the process of implementing that, I
ran into a somewhat embarrassing bug in the menu support, which I fixed,
however, if any of you have a chance to test especially menu.c32 on as
many derivatives as possible (SYSLINUX, PXELINUX, ISOLINUX, EXTLINUX) I
would greatly appreciate it.

testing out 6.03 network booting... (6.03-pre19)
Hi all,
I too am getting positive results using 6.03-pre19 lpxelinux.0, for the problem that I have been facing.
The symptom was that booting hangs on client side.
On the server (DNSMasq TFTP) it keeps getting a request for the same (MAC address) file.
OR, alternatively it just stops completely.
My server: OptiPlex 755. BIOS A22
The PXE booting client: OptiPlex 960. BIOS A17

Problem with 1.2.1pre19
Hello to all
There is some very strange problem in 1.2.1pre19. I can not even log in,
I'm always getting message "Permission denied, please try again." Seems
like problem in auth-passwd.c or something. I tried to mix pre18 & pre19,
but... ;)

Patch to make pre19 work with NetBSD
The pre19 code assumes that struct lastlog either exists in lastlog.h or
isn't there. On NetBSD, struct lastlog is defined in utmp.h. Even worse,
the non-lastlog code in login.h is terrible on NetBSD (since NetBSD
doesn't have a ut_type struct member).
With the patch below, openssh will compile and run on NetBSD again.
Thanks,
David

tesing USB keyboards/SYSLINUX
I just saw the release info for the latest SYSLINUX and improved USB
keyboard support. Checking the mailing list archives it looks
like you don't have access to hardware with the problem. I have a
DELL E520 (amusing enough one which was shipped with Ubuntu
preinstalled) with which I've had SYSLINUX/USB keyboard problems. The
'basic' system works, but when it tries to chain?

PXELinux / gPXE no IP by DHCP
Hello everyone
I am experiencing problems with PXELinux/gPXE when netbooting using HTTP.
The problems I encounter:
- When the intel bootROM is sending out a DHCPDISCOVER it might not
recieve an IP address, but the server did send out a OFFER. Capturing
packets reveals the packets have been sent, and the client _should_ have
recieved it.
But when it passes that stage:
- When the gPXE bootROM is

Xen Remus DRBD dual primary frozen
Dear all,
I have sent this problem earlier but maybe its not detail, here I try to
write more detail. I hope anybody can help me to point out the problem.
First of all I used Ubuntu 12.04 x64 both for domain0 and domainU with
modification to run under xen hypervisor and work with remus.
I follow and configured the remus with this notes

Remus DRBD frozen
Hi all,
I don''t know if my question doesn''t related to xen at all, how ever I am
trying to use DRBD as my disk replication when I ran Remus. However when I
run remus sometimes my Dom-U will be freezing. I see the log file and it
seem caused by drbd frozen :

frozen bubble for C7
That perl lib was most likely in EPEL at the time I added Frozen Bubble. They orphan packages once in a while breaking my deps.
Anyway, I've added perl-Compress-Bzip2 to my repo and Frozen Bubble should install fine now.

isolinux 3.10-pre20 doesn't work at all
I tried isolinux 3.10-pre20 on an Acer Aspire 1501LMi notebook and a Shuttle
FS-40 desktop box; it fails on both, simply hanging after printing the first
line.
Last known good version is 3.10-pre16; will try pre17-pre19 when I have some
time.

SYSLINUX 3.70 released
Hello everyone,
I have just released SYSLINUX 3.70, which is the first version which
includes gPXE for support of non-TFTP network scripts, as well as a
large number of other enhancments. gPXE support is still somewhat
experimental - in particular it still doesn't support chaining other NBPs.
Very special thanks to:
